I havent updated this blog in a long time! So many other social outlets, I usually just stop by SG to go to the boards. But let me give you nuggets a little update.
Been going on lots of little vacations.. I took a week off in feb and march to go hang with my old friends back in Detroit. I really do miss my old stomping grounds and based on how many people remembered me (aside from my close friends) after 4+ years, I'd say Detroit missed me too. I always get up to some crazy shenanigans when I'm there and I come back covered in scars and bruises with a stupid grin on my face.
In 4 days it'll be my birthday. I'm not one to really celebrate these things when I dont have a bunch of friends to go crazy with, so my actual birthday might be a little low key. But thats okay because in 7 days I leave for yet another vacation, this time down to Asheville, NC for some good family time. I havent seen my mom in like 5 or 6 years, thanks to money and lack of time.. She lives down in Florida and we're both making the trip to stay with my sister for a week. I consider Asheville my second home and I have a lot of people who want to catch up with me, because I've been gone from there for a little over a year, so that should be a kick ass time.
I got promoted at my job, and changed roles. It came with a nice raise and gives me a chance to do what I love so it should be really good for my positivity and mental health. Also probably slow down the growth of the gray hairs I've been getting due to stress. Most people at work still guess my age at almost 10 years younger than I really am, and I want to fucking keep it that way!
The new job will require a little bit of training (that I don't need) and I've heard it might take me to a larger city for a weekend or so, which will be nice because I get to eat/drink/hotel on company dime. Fingers crossed its going to be in Chicago, cuz that would be fun.
Other than that, the home is still...
