They made it! My pictures made it! They made it! I'm so happy!!
In case you have absolutely no idea what it is that I am referring to above....it's quite alright! I'll forgive ya No....it's not that I had a set accepted at SG, unfortunately you have to submit one for that to actually happen here for some odd reason Some of my Geezers friends may remember a thread that was recently posted in the Geezers Group by my honey Flashmo, entitled "Cheer up Jewelz".... but if you hadn't seen the thread, here's a little background infos:
In my new home town of Pocatello resides Idaho State University, and there is to be a "Woman's Tattoo Art Display" here later this month. The upcoming show made all the local publications right before Christmas, as the sponsors were looking for images of body art from women who expressed themselves through body modifications, tattoo's, and apparel, etc. I thought it sounded like a freakin' ball, and of course I'm so in love with my ink that I decided that I JUST HAD TO DO IT and asked my honey Flashmo to help take some "modest" photos to submit for approval. Mind you, this is supposed to be about women expressing themselves through their own bodies, which was what drew my interest to begin with. Anyway, as soon as I decided this was something that I wanted to participate in, I called the women running the Art Show and asked about how these would have to be presented, taking great care to explain the actual locations of my tattoos, and that they might be difficult to show without showing "other stuff" and was told that it really shouldn't be a problem.
So...We took pictures of my ink, and pictures of my daughter's back tattoo and submitted them all to the judges via email and began the waiting to see if they'd get accepted or not. The original pictures that we submitted were these:
My Chest Piece
My Lower Back Piece
My daughter's upper back piece
2nd shot of my daughter's upper back piece
All beautiful pics, and beautiful ink....IMO
We got word back that the two shots of my daughter would be accepted as is....but that the two of me would have to be cropped to be accepted as the red panties and the hotness of the shots were causing the judges to become distracted, leaving them feeling that they would take away from the ink as they were presented.
These were the compromises made on the cropping of those two photos so that they would be accepted to the Art Show as well:
Look Ma, no panties!
Less cheeks!!
So, there you have it...I'm no longer TOO SEXY FOR THE ART SHOW
Just in case you are wondering....I had my daughter's express permission to post her pictures here As a matter of fact, it wouldn't surprise me if we end up seeing more of her someday soon!
I'd like to say my thanks to my good buddy Chris Spriggs from Spokane, WA. Chris is an amazing artist, who did all of these tattoos for myself and my daughter. I love his work, and if you are ever in the Pacific Northwest, especially in the Eastern Washington area and you'd like to get some incredible ink done, you should look him up, for shore! Chris is currently at Shamrock Tattoo in Spokane, awaitng the opening of his own shop called "Rage Studios", expected to open by February or March of this year. If you want to know anymore about him, you can check with Juliett as well, she's familiar with my man Chris.
OK, well....enough pimping for one night! I hope to save some time online tonight to stop by and say some thanks to all the wonderful, special people who left me Birthday Wishes here. I loves you guys!!
Oh, and one last thing...and this time I mean it Stop by and say a big "Hey" to my honey Flashmo, and give him a big warm SG welcome for me, K?? He's finally home enough these days to put up a profile and start playin' with us....so say hello, he's a great guy!
