Paul McCartney Concert
So last week I was invited by a co-worker in the UK who actually works with Paul McCartney, arranging all his travel and event details, to his concert here in Mexico last Friday at the Foro Sol Stadium with over 60,000 in attendance. I am actually not a big fan of his new stuff, I actually haven't heard much or bought any since his eighties stuff, especially the Wings tunes. However, the man is a legend in the history of music. I have all the Beatles music on CD. The first tune I learned to play on the guitar was "Eleanor Rigby".
So I get six tickets, center stage on the 9th row, actually not to bad, from my friend. Let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised. The old guy can still rock hard at 67yrs old! AND what a great list of classical tunes, some stuff I had never heard before, but it still rocked.
Here is a video I took with my Iphone of a song Paul composed for the Mexican audience . . . apparently its the only country in the world where the lights in the audience (lighters, mobiles, etc) are synchronized to the beat of the music.

Here are some more pics that I took during the show.

Midway through the concert it started to rain, and rain hard too! They had handed out some plastic ponchos and everyone stayed and enjoyed the show. Overall, a great show with great music. Paul is still going strong!
