I leave tomorrow for Amsterdam but unlike 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, & 2002 I’m not doing NYE in Amsterdam but instead leave for Prague, CZ on the 30th. I had planned on doing a week in Prague but after a bit of research I found out its rated VERY highly for NYE so decided to spend a total of nine days there. We, my brother James is coming with, return to AMS on the 8th which give us a total four days there. We will initially be staying in hotel\boarding house Penzion Domov mládeže for the first three days in Prague, I plan on finding another hotel closer to city center during that period..

For NYE I booked a ticket with a Pub\Club tour [info here] aimed at 18-35 year old (yeah I’m a bit over that but my brother is 27 and I party like younger people anyways). It starts at 9PM with a one hour open bar, then at 10PM heads to the 1st club in Old Town, @ 11PM we head to the main club for the evening, a 5 story mega club, and at midnight we head to the roof to watch the fireworks over Charles Bridge and the party continues until the sun comes up.

I want to do 1 or 2 day trips to other towns outside of Prague, I have notes on my Kindle and will create Want to Do list tonight and tomorrow with my brother and might update this post then. Back in Amsterdam the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museums are always on the must do list. If my brother hasn’t done the Anne Frank House before we will probably do that also. Saturday & Sunday we will hit the clubs and if the weather is nice enough rent bikes for a few days since that’s the best way to see Amsterdam.
