I need to get some paying assignments. I have not had a paying photo job in... I don't know... I get suckered into charity work a lot. I can't help it. They need someone to take pictures of a day camp for kids or a school event, and if I don't do it then it's a bunch of dumb soccer moms with point and shoots using *gasp* flash! I recently missed out on assisting another photographer. I would've made ~$450 from that job.

I realized last week how much I spend on supplies. One of my signature portraits costs $25 just in supplies. Then if you were to factor in my time, that's another $125. So all total it's at least $150. Unfortunately I've been doing them on a TFP basis because I've been so desperate for models. I need to find some rich old ladies that have nothing else to spend money on.

Someone told me recently that I need to get another job, but I know there's no place that will hire me for my price . If I'm going to do anything for money, I don't want anything less than $25 an hour. I'd be making at least that for photography (should be more, most photographers I know make closer to $100-200 an hour), and I when I fix computers, I charge $50 an hour.
