I'd love to feel
Your hand touching mine
And tell me why
I must keep working on
Yes I'd give my life
To lay my head tonight on a bed
of California stars...

Vegas was hot and windy. I was reasonably drunk for most of it. And after 3 days I was down about $1100. Good times, I think.
Almost to Vegas. Only three more sleeps, 1800 miles, and one international border to go. Guess I better start saving for some gambling cash now.
I'm thinking, why not write another blog? Hell I don't do them all that often, and I've been drinking some decent Sauvgnon Blanc since, um, about 6ish. So there!
Well I'll be heading to Vegas for the first time in about two weeks. Don't think Labour Day is the best time of year for that, being that it'll be packed with pesky tourists (damn I'll be one too!) and that it's gonna be about a hundred degrees everyday - or more! But that's when work is letting me go and my boys will be playing at the HOB too, so really why not? I've so far, and at great personal expense, been able to save up for about $600 to spend gambling. I'll probably be stupid enough to spend about half of that on various slot machines (clearly the devil) and the rest on my own silly personal weakness - roulette. Only ever played it once for cash - about 10 years ago in Montreal, and I lost about $100 - but still I think that's the one for me. Cards are too much for the kind of guy that wants to be there for hours and hours, and I just don't find casinos all that interesting or cool. Give me something to put my money on and let me win (or lose) right now! And Roulette has that whole spinning ball thing. Right now I'm guessing I drop half my cash on slots and the rest on the wheel, but when the time comes who knows? I know I'll probably be tanked for 3 days straight, got RCPM on Saturday and Penn and Teller (front row!) the day after. Everybody is telling me I have to check out Fremont street, so looks like I'd do that on the Monday, but I'd really just be happy sitting back in the pool, but maybe it'll be cool. Who knows?
And all that doesn't really even mean much to me, because I've already got a little trip to Miami and Key West (and Key Largo) planned and mostly booked for next April I bet that brings back some fond memories...hell it already does! But this time, I swear, I'm going parasailing no matter what! Hurricanes be damned!
Anyhoo, if anybody is reading this, hope you have great and fun travel plans in the not too distant future. And barring that, find yourself some decent wine.

Shoveling snow sucks. There's no way around it, it's just backbreaking work that wears you out. But it has to be done. Spent about an hour today in the morning shoveling. And this snow fall was the heavy stuff too. Not flaky but really wet. This was after working a full midnight shift at the old job. So yeah, exhausted. And now I'm thinking I'm coming down with a cold. So while I really really want to enjoy a beer or two and just relax, I know it's not in my best interest because I don't want the cold to get worse. Isn't life wonderful?
Damn I haven't updated this thing in a while! Oh well. Nobody comes here for what the guys write anyway. But truth be told, lately I'm having more fun playing with my Myspace, though I'm sure the fun from that will wear off soon too.
Got a couple more days left of vacation, and I plan on doing nothing! Watching TV, reading a book, and maybe playing with a cat or two. Yep it's a tough way to go through life.
