im back!
what an incredible excursion to beautiful Telluride, CO. Oh the Americana! oh the bluegrass! got involved in a jig moshpit, drank alot of whisky, hung out by a raging fire while my lovely friends played grateful dead songs on the the mandolin, the bongos, and the washboard..my feet barely felt the ground i was so high on life and beauty. The music was incredible, mumford and sons, Robert Plant and band of joy, and the punk hillbilly slam grass talents of Old Crow Medicine Show, the Decemberists, yonder, railroad, and so many many more talents who make telluride bluegrass historic every year. and everything inbetween, singing akunamatata on the bus, lying in venue field watching the trees dance, the smell of funnel cakes and the ethic food stands, and all the love that never stopped. i still feel it

btw..cant wait for these summer festival nights again

so, heres a perfect example of my favorite things in life. this is where i escape. This past weekend was Unified Field, a two day pre-party for Sonic Bloom Festival (my first festival, so close to my heart). i knew this year was going to be a HUGE deal as soon as i heard who the special guest was..
Alex and Allyson Grey. probably the most famous artists of this century in my eyes

the first hour consisted of a lecture of Unified Theory, it will blow your mind, let me know if your interested in finding out about your infinite being

then, beautiful hammered dulcimer music performed by the smart and taleted, Jamie Janouver.

then came Hayoka...

the party was wild all night, it felt like it was a circus, a pirate ship, and china town all mixed together

finished the night off with the intelligent noises of Eskmo.

so, yesterday was national record store day!! (wish i could've been a little ahead of the game and informed ya) but for this holiday many artist will release special editions or new LPs. check out this years list in google somewheresss
but anyways, spent the day at our independent record shop; Twist&Shout..hours searching through so many great records. The attention to art, music and environment is why it felt so much better then point, click and download. me and my man bought, Devendra Banhart, Portishead, Grateful Dead's first album (reissued), Octopus Project, and String Cheese trick or treat (live)

i also found this INCREDIBLE screen print, signed and numbered (205 out of 250). Grizzly Bear melts my heart.\
