i know its of me, and it seems kind of wrong to be that in love with a picture of yourself, but i think that the reason i feel that way about it is because the look in THAT EYE is how i feel.
its amazing how complete it is to me. there isnt a thing i dislike about this picture, and i like that the tones and focus MAKE you look at that eye....
sorry, just my tipsy thoughts...
i might submit it to SEAF. just for the hell of it... if the judges get the reaction i get from it, and that others have gotten from it, then maybe they will feature it in their art show. and how much better is it that it is a self shot image.
to me, self shot images are a lot more honest and real than others.
when i am self shooting anyway, you do see how i feel and who i am. when i am shooting with someone else, i am trying to make sure they get a good picture..
as opposed to a "real" picture.
please let me know your thoughts, and how this photo effects you.

That photo is the reason I came to your profile, it's amazing and really did draw me right in!

well, since nearly EVERY single image of you takes my breath away - and I AM particular in these matters - yes, this image is striking and yes, the image is a true moment of art.
it reminds me a bit of:
and while self-shot shows one form of nudity, another can sometimes be found in candid shots, but I agree, posed is very confining. I photographed nudes for a while - and portraits etc. (ran the darkroom at the local uni); came to the conclusion that strolling with a camera would produce better more authentic images, and since most folk aren't out in public nekked...well, there you are! and then again there YOU are, naked in semi-public, so in a sense that's a full circle - and why I think your suspension photos beat the hell out of the front page, time and time again.

im not sure about anger and pain but i do get the feeling that there is something dark fueling the determination in that eye. awesome work
