Looking forward to the new year. I'm hoping to turn it around from the last year. I'll sum up the major good and bad of last year. And then list what is planned for 2011.

2010 (Bad)
1. My best friend, confidant and muse decided to sever our friendship about a month after I helped her move down to Orange County. She just quit talking...

I turned in what I could of my documentary on the Hubba Hubba Revue for my documentary class. It has a long way to go before I can consider it even close to done.

But for those that are curious, here is the very rough, very short edit that I turned in for my final.

I'm curious to know what you think.

well, that's GOOD news then, that this documentary will be made and doesn't need funding? I will for sure be wanting a copy of it, if that is possible.

well, make sure you let me know when it's done and online! I'll be wanting to watch it for sure. I've already forwarded the link to a few burlesque dancer friends of mine.

The Bellydance Unbound Kickstarter is not doing very well. Only at 2% after a month and 23 days left to go before it ends.

It's a very interesting concept and I for one hope that you can get it done! I forwarded the link to all the bellydancers that I know locally, but I'm afraid they're too traditional (i.e. cabaret or tribal dancers) to accept something this radically different. frownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrown

You need to identify a target market for the video and figure out how to promote it to them. That being said....I don't have a clue as to how to do that.

Life could be so much better but I'm not complaining, I'm planning. I miss the Pacific Northwest and can't wait until I'm back there again.

Proof-of-concept video for 'Bellydance Unbound' is now available for viewing for those that were interested in what it was.

http://www.vimeo.com/16406182

For those that are unaware, this proof-of-concept allowed myself, the cinematographer and the talent to see which ideas and techniques would or would not work during the actual shoot for the project. So, it is merely a rough draft what the final product may actually...
