whew, this was a close call...i thought my cat Cookie (the one in my pic) was gonna die the other night.
i was sitting in my room around 11 PM or so when i hear a loud "REEEEEOOOOOW!!!" from outside. it turns out that my cat got caught in the electric fence that we use to keep our escape artist of a dog in the backyard-its only about 30 volts, but enough to shock the hell out of you. anyways, i find my cat, and he's breathing really fast, and his heart is beating 90 to nothing. and i notice blood coming out of his mouth-this is where i started to get really worried...so i took him to an overnight vet to get him checked on
anyways, i find out that the bleeding was caused since he bit his tongue while trying to escape the electric wire, and they give him 2 shots-one for shock, the other to get the fluids out of his lungs (some water/blood ended up in there somehow)...after about a day or so, he's back to his old self again...he's sitting in my computer chair purring right now

hey, how the hell is everyone doing? i just got home from work and i'm tired. what have i been doing lately? just working a lot and wasting my life playing Suikoden 3 on the PS2.
anyways...that little get together thingie i went to wasn't a fraternity sponsored thing, just a big "community" type thing for the town. but there were still plenty of dumb frat guys and snooty girls there...it was "casino night", where they give you fake gambling chips and you can play roulette,blackjack, etc...it wasn't all that great, especially when you're surrounded by hundreds of people that you don't like...but i had a semi-good time, getting to see my friend kathleen and all her friends, and getting my arse kicked at blackjack...oh yeah and getting to sleep on her leather sofa
damn, that thing is like sleeping on a nice fluffy cloud.
however, i think i'll just stick to small get-togethers with my friends; i've never been one for crowds.
well, my bed is calling...so later
