whew, this was a close call...i thought my cat Cookie (the one in my pic) was gonna die the other night.

i was sitting in my room around 11 PM or so when i hear a loud "REEEEEOOOOOW!!!" from outside. it turns out that my cat got caught in the electric fence that we use to keep our escape artist of a dog in the backyard-its only about 30 volts, but enough to shock the hell out of you. anyways, i find my cat, and he's breathing really fast, and his heart is beating 90 to nothing. and i notice blood coming out of his mouth-this is where i started to get really worried...so i took him to an overnight vet to get him checked on

anyways, i find out that the bleeding was caused since he bit his tongue while trying to escape the electric wire, and they give him 2 shots-one for shock, the other to get the fluids out of his lungs (some water/blood ended up in there somehow)...after about a day or so, he's back to his old self again...he's sitting in my computer chair purring right now
