I had thought about getting a small tattoo for a long time. I have known for ages I wanted something for my son whose born a Tiger like me in the Chinese New Year but still unsure what I want, but my first tattoo was a design from an awesome company called Hello Lucky with a vintage birds and hearts used on their wedding invites. I emailed them. To ask if they were ok with me using their work and they were more than happy to send me samples!
So I got it done, emailed the outline to them and their main office in San Francisco loved it so much they have offered me their wedding invites for free! That's gotta be a crazy way of getting free wedding invites made for you, right? Pretty excited about it all now!
I will be getting the colouring down after my holiday. One bird will be pink and the other will be blue. The flowers will be colour of cherry blossoms... I love cherry blossoms!
So did it hurt? It felt a bit like a pin tugging on my skin. Hurt mostly on the tiny detail like the stars and vines. The other time it hurt was when I breathed cos I asked for it to be on my belly. The least painful bit was the wings that go up to my ribs. It just made my ribs vibrate which felt funny, haha!
Once I get it coloured I will write more on that. Maybe should just get the Chinese symbol of tiger for my son? Not sure I could withstand getting a tiger drawn and coloured on me, I'm a wuss.
Ciao for now!
