Psh...well, shit...I took a job that I really didn't want to do as a summer job. This job I did last year...and it sucks...bad.

I can't wait till the Fall Semester starts back up on Aug. 22nd...

So...I finally finished my first final Exam at Baker University, even though I've already turned in one final paper in a couple of weeks ago. It seems that this semester has gone by so fast. I don't actually remember the first day of classes there...but I remember how nervous I was on the first day, new school, new (much younger in some cases) people...but I survived this semester, and I think I've done very well this past semester, but I guess I'll not know until after grades are posted. Believe me though that I will be checking for that shit every day from here till all of my grades are posted.

I am guessing that I will be getting 3 As and 2 Bs, but that is what I am hoping for. So yeah...we'll see what happens.

Well damn...I am just checking on prices of graduate schools and pricing, and I came across something very interesting.

Harvard Graduate School:
Full Tuition— required first two years of study $36,304

My old private art school, The Kansas City Art Institute:
$15,996 per semester, $31,992 per year for full-time students

(sources are stats are from Harvard Graduate School Cost Page and The Kansas City Art Institute Cost Page.)

So This means...that that Harvard Grad School is less than $5000 more than my undergrad Alma mater. That is fucked up. I think I spent way too much for my undergrad education. Maybe I should ask for a refund.

screw it...figured I'd go through and do another update real quick since I've been trying to get more updates on this thing.

So here is a good, quick little update.

Last night was interesting. I went through had a date with a lady who is like 14 years my senior...and we kissed. so that was fun, great date. My she is cute, but it really makes me think if she knows how old I actually am. I am 29, turning 30 this year...but there is just something about it that makes me feel really young knowing that I was born in '82 and she graduated from high school in '86...I don't know...I try not to think about it.

In other quick news, here is a new photo of me, took with my iPad tonight...just for the fuck of it.

SHIT...haven't updated in a long time...yet again.

Okay, well the play is done. Fucking fantastic. Last weekend, the closing weekend, almost sold out. It was so much fun. I missed theater SO much. EMU showed me what it was like t be back in the theater and I was so welcomed. I actually went through on Easter, and wrote a new 10 minute play. It is going to be a good one. With my last one being dramatic, this one, the new one, is pure comedy, with a slap to religion.

Gotta love it.

In other news...Semester is almost done...damnit. This is been a fast one. I have also went through and put in my CV to Christie's in NYC. I hope that I can get the internship. It will be a little odd to see what school is going to do. I know that they usually do have a "credit hour for internship" program...but usually this is only three credit hours. For something like this...I wonder if it couldn't be expanded to more of a semester's worth of credits. Regardless, if I have the chance to go work at Christie's...that would be amazing. A semester in the Art Capital of the world, at one of the finest auction houses period...but it will give me some great experiences.

In other news...I don't really have that much to write about. I am going to stop doing painting for a while, Too much money required that I currently don't have, but it was fun while it lasted. However, the The play, now that is something that I could continue to do with no problem what so ever. And I don't have to put so much money into this new play, my personal money, like the old play.

I did have another gallery exhibition recently. That was fun It was only a one day showing, but it did allow me to bring out some old photographs and bring them back to life in the public view. I have another one on the 20th...so that should be fun. It is going with a live performance/poetry reading by my good friend Mark Hennessy. He is a great guy and give a great reading.

Really though, I just can't wait to be done with school. I want to start my new life. I want to be able to have fun with the knowledge that I've gained, which has actually be a ton. I know I still have a little bit of time to go...so I need to buckle down and just do it, then things will be different, but yeah...lol. shit.

In other news, I have figured out what I want to do with my degree, thanks to Art + Auction magazine. It should be fun, with a lot of hard work, I should be able to have some fun.

So what is new with you?

Well shit...it is time to update I guess.

So I've been very busy with the play, titled Beyond the Canvas, that I wrote, Casted, directed, did the set design, lighting design, sound mixes, AND art work for. It opens up this Friday. So we'll see how it goes over. I have too much time invested for it to go bad. However I'm so ready for it to be over with...and next weekend it will be closing weekend. It is only opened for two weekends. Then I can dork on my main focus...

School is going well. I actually have a 3.33 GPA at midterms. I just need to raise it up to hit the honor roll. Even though my semester is yet to be over, I already have my next semester classes. I am going to be doing History of Photography, The Birth of Modern Art, Anthropology, Geology and French...or at least I'm going to try. Enrollment isn't till next week so we'll see if I can get in. I know the art history classes won't fill up too fast, and I am promised a special time slot in the French class because I worked out a deal with the head of the department, well the head of the Art History department did on my behalf, because the class was going to conflict with one of my art history classes. So I get to be special and have a one on one French class...which will be awesome and very helpful.

Other than that. I have started to do my photography again...my pinhole works. Doing portraits, and well a totally new awesome piece. I'll have to complete a couple of images first and then show you all. I hope that since next week will be dead, no shows till Friday (thank god...) I will be able to actually spend sometime in the darkroom and get some work done. I was invited to show at the local art museum, the Spencer, but I just have too much on my plate right now to deal with that, plus trying to get these new images ready for a possible exhibition in London this summer.

So I think is it in a nutshell for now. I'll try and write more sooner than later. My laptop is in the shop getting fixed. I haven't had or been able to use it for about two weeks, so this has been done on my good ol' iPad.

Thanks apple.

So...I've been wanting to update this damn thing for a while now...but really, I don't have anything really to say. I've been busy with school, painting (and not photography) and my play that I'm directing...(and I also wrote it). I just don't really have time for that much of a social life right now and really outside of all of that, I have not that exciting of a life...period.

Sorry.

So...I think I have found one of my new favorite painters. Gerhard Richter. His work is fucking amazing. If I had the money, I would buy one.

I really want to start an art/alternative magazine. Kind of like what Tokion Factory was, mixed with a little bit of Juxtapoz, Photo.fr and put in there a little bit of Front Magazine/SG attitude in there.

That would be awesome.
