So tomorrow is the big baseball game. the Kansas City Royals vs. the Boston Red Sox. I'm taking Josh to the game and I hope to get some photos.
I am thinking about sending my screenplay to the Beverly Hills Film Festival, seeing how it fairs there as well as since I'm still waiting to hear back from the Atlanta Film Festival.
Today was also Josh's big Pokemon tournament. He did fantastic. He received enough cards to make a 40 card deck, and kicked major ass with it. Out of the seven matches he played in, he only lost one. So I'm proud of that. He found something besides video games finally that he really likes doing. lol.
In other news. I am doing okay I guess at my new job. It isn't the best, but it isn't the worst. The pay is good. That is a plus. I'm already wanted by a higher up department, which is a good thing, don't get me wrong. But I'm still waiting to hear anything back about my grant. If this works out, believe you me that I'm going to be gone asap from that place and back to doing what I love doing.
In other news...I'm still waiting to hear from the new place that I applied to for a freelance writer's spot. I hope that I do get it. I'm actually not too worried either way. If it doesn't work out, I'm not too worried. I'll start writing in my book again sometime very soon.
I am currently reading Tess of the U'berville. If no one has read that book, I am saying that you should. I didn't read any of it last night but I think I am on chapter like 12...maybe 13...a little still early in the book, but it is an amazing story. I love literature from the late 1700s - the early 1900s...and this is one of my favorites thus far, along with Les Miserables, a day in the life of ivan denisovich and Down and out in Paris and London.
Other than that, things are still going as usual. I think it is funny though that a friend of mine thinks that I'm automatically dating someone because he sees me on one friendly date with someone. I don't know why that is. I guess I should go to my favorite places to go out on dates, because that always seems to happen.
I don't know....I guess that is life. That is the way things are going right now for me. All in all not too bad. I'm just enjoying what I can right now and taking life as it comes at me, and honestly, I think I can say for the first time in a long time that I am 100% happy with myself, I feel content. And that is good.
So in closing, I'll leave you with this.
