I liked the fact that it was so understated, and stayed that way--given the setting and subject matter, it would've been easy to go over the top. Also, it was a welcome portrayal of a crime family entirely from the perspective of the people whose lives it complicates/ruins. The glamor and the action were completely absent.

Plus, you know, Teardrop. If I ever get a dog, that's going to be his name.
