If you are reading this you should probably stop cuz I really have absolutly nothing useful to say. Things on my mind recently, that I need to get off and share with the world but only in a cyber way you know just hoping someone is paying attention to the crap you are posting, but theres really only so many times you can change your facebook status in one day and really know one ever cares. So anyways I have omg soo much work I need to do right now but have absolutly no motovation to do it. Like what I decided I have to finish tonight is hust a few thumbnails for this calander were sopposed to create for design class but its a group project which sucks on so many levels especially cuz my group is made up of the people no one else in the class wants, not that Im one of those people though I was sick the week we chose groups and decided I would work by myself and came up with my idea and was prepared for the next class then my teacher who thinks way to highly of my patience was like here mentor these 2 first year students and help them get awsome marks, so far they have contributed nothing but agree with my ideas which I know the one does not understand at all cuz even though the basic idea for the project is to create a calandar were sopposed to go about it unconventionally and so I, through a wierd thought process came up with the concept of showing the passage of time through laudry accumulation. But whatever if the project falls apart my teacher wont dock me huge cuz this problem happens every year. The other thing is to do a quick drawing of my cat which will probably only take an hour. Actually its really wierd that I still refer to her as my cat cuz she was put down last year, which is what my project is playing off of the idea of memory and its deterioration. Ok so also I am mad at 2 of my teachers right now for not treating everyone equally. So people came up with ideas like embrodary, twisting wire into shapes, um one girl used teas as ink etc. Well I chose Quilling, its an arts n crafts type thing where you glue tiny strips of paper perpendicular to the page and the line it forms is what you "draw" with (google it lol) anyways so the day we talk to her about our ideas she talks to the girl beside me who had decided to do embroidary, but not traditionally instead she created long line of thread and there was no real reason behind her idea it was something absract and she planned to do a series of 3 5x7inch canvases and my teacher was like oh you only have to do one. Then she talked to me, she was the only person in my class who had ever heard of quilling she said she even used to teach classes in it. Anyways my concept was I wanted to make fun of the medium in a way cuz its normally used to make flowers and snowflakes and all these cute lacey type things. So I wanted to create very graphic, designy type images and settled on creating company logos. She liked the idea and then was like ya you have to do 10. What! So unfair cuz each of these little peices took about 2 hours each cuz they were so tedious to do, I managed to get 8 done. Oh I should mention we only had a week for this project. I chose my logos based on my 16 yr old sister generation to further make fun of the medium because this was something they would never do: Wikipedia, msn, diet coke, apple, internet explorer, starbucks, facebook and youtube. Stuff they used everyday, and I explained this during my critique. I got my mark back and I got a B+ after all the effort I put into it and in her comments she made it sound like she had never heard a word i said about my project, she didnt get it at all. So a B+ isnt the worst mark its a good mark, but when its compared to what got an A, its so unfair. The girl I mentioned before who used teas as ink got an A and all she did was recreate a section of a company stamp on the bottom of a teacup, the same image 4 times with differant teas---No Concept. Mine has a wierd juxtaposition between the paperless internet based logos being created out of paper and the other 2 are the caffeine needed to full the intenet based world and idk I was just very unimpressed with her. I am also mad at my sculpture teacher for not letting me do the idea I want to for a project where we are sopposed to take clothing (or body related things) and alter them to change their meaning. I wanted to create a ball gag useing pearls playing off of the old ideal where girls were expected to just cook and clean without complaints, also I think it would of made for a great photo oppurtunity. But she was like no if I was using a bracelet or earrings it would of been ok but necklaces dont relate to the body well enough. But a girl in the other class is using a parosol...how does that relate any better? And to make it double suck I gave the girl the only idea she had to be able to bullshit that it was related. Gah I feel like I could keep ranting for hours, I must be in a really bad mood. So one of my best friends pulled a total douche move on me the other day. We had plans to go see a concert in april and we just hadnt actually gotten the tickets yet then he was like ya I dont have the money to go to a show. Then like the next day he has plans to go see a differant concert with his roomate. I was very unimpressed, and I told him this, though now writing this I feel like I should appologise to him for that. And finally I must ask why people feel the need to put down veganism. Like sometimes it will just come up in the conversation that Im a vegan and sometimes people wont say anything, other times people feel the need to tell me they could never do it cuz they love bacon or cheese too much, and sometimes people who dont know shit about nutrition will go on to tell me why its bad for you. Like the other day this--I must add Fat--girl proceded to tell me it was unnatural. I bit my tongue and walked away, but the more situations like this occur the more I feel the need to tell this people to shut the fuck up then tell them how much healthier my body is then theirs.
