Tips I made bartending a wedding this weekend have already transformed into groceries for my GF and I. Although I did manage to get to Waldenbooks(Owned by Borders) to take advantage of their going out of business sale. Sad because that is the only remaining bookstore in this shitty city. But good because I picked up some pocket moleskins on the cheap.
I opted for the graph paper ones this time around because I have this bad habit of not sketching in sketchbooks but creating full illustrations. I thought the graph would remove some of the preciousness I hold for the page so that I could actually work out an idea I have for a graphic novel and not worry about "ruining" my sketchbook.
Being that I'm a guy and know shit about women's fashion, I'm finding myself scanning through photosets of my favorite Suicide Girls, looking for ideas for hair and clothing*. I have a few ideas of what I want their personalities to be, but I need to craft their looks some more.
*I mean, they start with clothing most of the time, right?
