people on craigslist are weird. and by weird, i mean totally fucking lame.
i'm selling a particleboard bookcase for $20.

I live in the Santa Clarita Valley, which is about 40 minutes from Santa Monica. It's a long shot, but I was wondering if you would be willing to meet somewhere in the middle for me to pick up the bookcase?

it's kinda amazing that people can be so fucking ridiculous.

i also had a guy buy a wooden ladder from me (in great condition btw). he tried to haggle it down from $15 to $10.
and he was driving a $40,000 car.

When Bean closed down his company, we wound up giving away a bunch of old office chairs on Craigslist. The emails were amazing.

I don't go near craigslist. Of course, I have had little reason to. But still. I want everyone to be like they are on 24 Hours on Craigslist. But they aren't. They just aren't.

People are stupid. Once I posted some ads looking for a bedroom in Barcelona and some dude wrote offering a bedroom in Madrid (like 600 km away).

When I do meet people from craigslist for things they always tend to creep me out. Keep in mind that's not an easy task.

i think you should meet them halfway then take out a sledgehammer and smash the bookcase to smithereens and when you are done look at them like they are next.
