wow... its 10:15pm and i just woke up! ive woken up late a lot of times but never at 10:15pm lol. there is a good reason tho... i couldnt fall asleep til 1 this afternoon... and heres why...
ok so its about 8:30am and im about to fall asleep and my phone rings so im thinkin who the fuck is callin me at 8:30am?! i didnt answer it but they left a voicemail so i checked it. turns out it was my mom, and i didnt recognize the # cuz she was callin from a gas station... she sounded all nervous and was freaking out a little and said she had some car problems and asked if i'd be able to go meet her and help her so i got dressed and went down there. i was thinkin maybe she got a flat tire and wanted me to help change it, or maybe the car broke down and she didnt have her AAA card on her or something but that wasnt the case lol. more interesting than that...
so i get there and my mom gets into my car kinda sounding like shes laughing and kinda like crying lol and she starts telling me what happened. she was on the way home from work and drove by a guy in a wheel chair who instead of goin on the sidewalk, was in the road, cuz the sidewalk was covered in snow and he couldnt push himself through it easily. its a busy road too (route 9 in lakewood for everyone from jersey). so my mom, being the nice person she is, decides to go back and help this guy get where he was going. turns out the guy has no gloves on and had no legs, so when they got to the store, my mom bought him a pair of gloves too. then she pushed him back to where he was coming from. somehow in this whole process, she lost her car keys...
her cell phone and pocketbook and everything is in the car that she's locked out of so she couldn't use that to call me, and couldnt use her AAA card or anything either. so i go down there and im helping my mom look for her keys in the snow for a few hours and stuff while she's trying to figure out what to do...
we thought maybe we can get it towed back to the house and get an extra copy of the key made when my dad gets back (since he's in pa for the weekend). we thought we could call either a car dealer or a locksmith, and if we give them the VIN #, they could make a copy of the key (which they can do) but no one was in the service departments when we called, so that didnt work either. she called the police to see if there was anything they could do (and to tell them this whole story to let them know why her car was parked illegally!!!) and they couldnt really help either. my mom didn't want to leave the car there since the keys were somewhere right around there and if someone found em, they could just drive off with her car...
she called AAA and the tow truck showed up pretty quick but they couldnt help that much. they were able to get the car door open, but the alarm would go off for 3 minutes every time we opened the door, since we didn't have the keys. they weren't able to tow the car back to our house, since we didnt have the key... but if we did have the key, we coulda just driven it and not needed the towtruck. after a little while of helping us look for the keys and stuff, he had other calls to go on so he left...
so back to my car where its warmer to try to figure out what to do... so my mom keeps getting more locksmiths phone numbers hoping someone can make up a key, and finally someone was able to! my mom wanted to go get stuff out of the car before we went to the locksmith, but i suggested looking further up the road and seeing if maybe it was further up than we checked. she didnt want to but after a while she gave in and we went further up the road...
as we are walking up the road, we see a guy in a wheelchair, with no legs coming our way! he gets closer and says boy am i glad to see you! your keys fell in my bag when u were helping me and ive been trying to call the store to let them know i have ur keys, if u went there looking for them but they werent too helpful so i thought id come back here and hope u were still here! so we got the keys back and talked to him for a little while and my mom gave him a few bucks for being so nice and everything then she was able to get in and drive home after this interesting morning lol...
so i get back home around noon, and couldnt fall asleep right away, and ended up falling asleep about an hour later or so... and i just woke up at 10:15. wow its 11 now... it took 45 min to write that! lol im hungry now...
also, one of my pictures is gonna be in a magazine for the first time!!!!!
