My latest indulgence and reward for spending a fistful of cash getting moved into my new abode is building myself a 92" fixed projector screen and buying a cheap 720P projector. Has taken a couple or three weeks to get it set up and getting my surround sound sorted but I am finally there and it is just one great big 
I haven't played COD4 since someone lagged its pipes but revisited the SP tonight and it is just an absolute blast playing on such a big screen. Even more fun than watching movies and TV shows. All in it has cost around £500, for a 92" 720P screen, visuals are just fantastic. I had been looking at getting a 40" 1080P LCD TV but I'm so glad I went this route instead.
If you like your gaming, occasional or otherwise, then there's little else out there that will put this sort of on your face. So much more satisfying spending some £s on something this trivial after spending the lion's share on decorating stuff, flooring, white goods, furniture etc. Just got to pay for it now ......
