As was discussed before, I re-rented Hal Hartley's Trust the other night. Yes, I still like it a lot. Even when Hal's dialogue is unrealistic, it's realistic. Sometimes it's even mroe realistic the less realistic the actor's act. Confused? Don't be, just go rent Trust, The Unbelievable Truth, Henry Fool, or No Such Thing asap...
Also finally saw Stranger Than Paradise. Whew, good movie! I had been ambivalent about it for years after being ambivalent about Mystery Train. STP is a lot like if Eraserhead had been about regular people instead of psychos, monsters, and tap-dancing apparition women with mumps. Will have to check out more Jarmusch...

Sounds cheesy and shit but Forrest Whittaker kicks ass
Jamusch film it is as well....
I didn't like Down By Law when I saw it ages ago....BUT it might simply be that Roberto Benigni was bothering me. If I watch the movie like "I will actively hate Roberto, like Tom is doin'," then I might dig it more...
I like Roberto a lot in A Night On Earth, though. Great fuggin movie...Johnny Stecchino was okay.
