I have to agree with Iggy. When my ex and I split she tried to use anything she could against me to prevent any type of custody or visitation. It's horrible, but you have to consider what a judge's (probably an old judge too) opinion would be when it comes to SG, your friends and any other aspect of your life. If your ex is as low down as it sounds like he might be, he'll probably try to make everything appear in the worst possible light.

Sorry, if I'm adding to your stress cause I'm not trying to scare you, honestly. It's just that I went through some serious BS to fight for my daughter and I hate seeing good people have to face the same. Plus, you might get a reasonable judge that see's through your ex's crap. It happened to my ex after the first court date with him telling her off during the next two court dates that we had. So there is hope, just stay strong for your daughter.

Take care of yourself and your daughter first. I know from experience, custody battles are one big bitch. Try not to stress too much though, the state awards custody to the mom in a vast majority of cases. Stay positive and I'm wishing all the best for you two.

I'm sorry - that really sucks. Many people just don't know how to go through a breakup without turning into total assholes, especially if they get a slimy lawyer putting ideas in their heads. But I agree with what everyone else has said. They will use sg against you, so it would be best to lay low. Stay strong. Control the things you can control and maintain a hopeful attitude even if you face setbacks. Regardless of what happens, there is always a future to reconcile the past.
