Memory Lance (Poem I wrote)
The cool grey sidewalk
with small rocks cutting into my bare feet
a sweet smell in the air
my hands bouncing a ball not missing a beat
sounds of the world moving so fast
I have no worries...
the wind is at my back
carrying me into a child like bliss
even though Im to old ,
this is something I miss
cant seem to think,
on the last time my mind was so open
going back to my childhood memories,
this was the best thing for me
there still sits that old wooden swing
and over there I use to play cops and robbers
or once pretend to be a super hero and fly so free
what ever happen to make me not care
was it the lost of my loved ones,
or loss of my self respect
its nice to be back home,
a place I will never forget
