Next Year in September I'm going to be going to Europe with my father for 2 weeks. We are going to be going with the Glens (The SD & G Highlanders) which was my grandfathers regiment when he fought in WW2. It's only for members of the regiment and their families. We will be going to France, Belgium and the Netherlands and going to each of the places where the Glens fought. So we'll be going to places like Juno Beach, Hell's Corner and other memorials erected for the regiment; we will also be going to places like Vimy Ridge as well.

Dad asked me the other day because he knew that I would want to go, and he's right. We are planning a large family trip in June 2014 for the 70th anniversary of D-Day, but this trip will be different. This trip we will be going with some of the people who were actually there and hearing stories from them, and others, that we won't be able to hear in 2014.

It's going to be an awesome trip.
