Got kicked today.
Hard.
The first one to the back of my knees... and I went down.
The pavement scratched my hands and my knees bled.
Surprised.
As I sucked air into my lungs and looked up a second blow came.
I crumpled to the hard ground clutching my stomach against the sudden pain.
There, and thus exposed, a final kick was delivered...
I coughed up blood.

Tears came. Great, wrenching sobs.
Then the anger...
My body beginning to shake with the force of it.
And I stood.

Met then with the faces of those I called friends.
The laughter came from within me.
Their faces, stone.
Behind the guise of "truth".

I spat blood at them.

This site isn't what it used to be.

Sad.
