Overlooked album for today? "Stinky Grooves" by the Limbomaniacs. Out of print and probably a bit hard to find but if you happen to be looking for a perfect blend of Bootsy Collins and the Bloodhound Gang then look no further.
This new version fucking SUCKS!!! Ehem, that said; I don't think anyone is interested in news about my wedding and since that's the only thing really new that's going on in my life I'm going to spare everyone the boring details.
Instead I am going to suggest checking out the overlooked self-titled album by The Cutthroats 9 if you're a fan of Helmet and their ilk you should appreciate it. That is all for now and depending on whether this new site design let's me update again

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been pretty busy, haven't had that much too say and it's been too damn hot to do much of anything.
My fiance's dad and stepmom had an engagement party for us this past weekend...it was much fancier than I expected. It should be a hoot when they meet my parents. [shudder]

Back from Hawaii. It was fucking great. To paraphrase Ferris Bueller; if you have the means I highly recommend going...hell, go even if you don't have the means. Look on Travelzoo and Cheapflight etc. and you can get over there and have a great time for a reasonably low price.
Since I don't comment too often any more I don't think too many people will be checking in on me BUT to those who do I say "Aloha Mr. Hand (...or whatever your name might actually be) I'm off to Hawaii. I'll be back in a week."
I was riding my bike to work today and was struck by two things...not literally. First of all I was struck by how parents picking up/dropping off kids seem to feel that they are entitled to drive like complete assholes. More importantly though as I rode past the school (a jr. high I believe) I saw girls hugging and guys punching eachother in the shoulder and I assumed the it was the last day...what kind of school this is where the last day ends at 9:15 in the morning I don't know but it's not really important. What is important was that I really lamented the fact that as an adult there is no equivalent to the feelings/emotions that the last day of school (and Christmas Eve/Christmas Morning) brought out in me as a kid. I know that I'm not special and it's the same for almost everyone but still, it kind of bums me out.
I've had that damn Magical Trevor song stuck in my head for two days. I've given it time but I have too say I hate the new SG site and it is impacting the time that I spend here. I find it clunky, not user friendly and it makes me sad.
