So, I found out yesterday that I am moving to Portland. (Long story short, my lease is up, my landlord doesn't want to renew it after two months of telling me he would, and so, we have to move)
We looked around our neighborhood, and there are no houses that fit our needs (3+ bedrooms, allowed pets, in the right School Zone, and under $2,500) They meet some or most ($3 bedroom, but for $3,000 + and no pets)
So, I talked to my boss, and he was all for me moving to Portland. (He is planning to move the company out of California next year, anyways. But, to Florida, and I do not want to move to Florida!)
We are all excited, but a little sad too. I have lived outside of Los Angeles for 2 years of my entire life. (I lived in Italy with my first wife for 2 years while she was in the Army.) I will miss my friends. I will miss living in the same region as Wil Wheaton, and many, many others. I will miss the "Warm" weather, I expect, but I will LOVE having Seasons.
This is an exciting, yet scary time for me and my family, as we all prepare to pull up roots, and attempt to replant in the Pacific Northwest.
