I'm not going to be helpful or add to the conversation, I'm just going to post a link to another thread because I think your discussion is being done in the wrong place in my opinion.
This isn't a troll, exactly, but I don't know of a term for these types of people.
I've noticed there are a LOT of them, however, on SG.
Discouraging to realize there are people out there who devote actual time to this sort of behavior. Do they truly have a complex with correcting others? A sense of superiority? Are they that desperate for attention and acknowledgment?
My first impulse is to think it's one of MANY signs of immaturity. As everyone knows, no one knows more about EVERYTHING than a twenty-something...except maybe a teenager. It's common knowledge. Like.....fer sure! Totally?
Ugh.
Trying desperately not to turn into one of those older people who does nothing but find faults in the younger generation. Granted, they make it EASY to do so, but then so did I 10 yrs ago, I'm sure.
Still trying to find that comfort zone between pointing out where they're being rude, arrogant, worthless pricks and simply ignoring them like the spoiled children they are......
Fair to say my minimum dating age is 29 yrs, 11 mths, 28 days......I'd say 30, but I'm trying to be optimistic.
It's just really difficult to truly relate and deal with those still in mid 20s, or younger.....they just seem so utterly, and universally stupid to me. Rare exceptions, sure.....VERY rare.
