Wow, all that I typed is gone....let's try again.
Ok, I may or may not have fixed the picture. It still looks stretchy to me. Hmmmm....maybe that's not so bad. But still, maybe my camera sucks.
I don't feel like going into the story about the girl from Afganistan again. I typed it. It got erased. It's over. It ended happy.
I can't retell my joke now. I typed it. It's gone. I told it to a friend over the phone. It took him forever to get it. Apparently it isn't as funny as I thought it was.
I am sitting here enjoying a PBR and a smoke while listening to A&E in the background. It's some magician or something.
Oh, I found out that the town I used to live in has Skirt Night at one of the bars on Wednesdays. Whoever wears a skirt there gets cheap drinks, guy or girl. maybe it's worth the hour drive. Too bad I have to be at work early in the morning.
So, I applied to SG again for the third time.
Maybe the photos won't suck ass this time. It's not that they were bad pictures before, but apparently the quality or some shit was right. This is the THIRD time in TWO years. Sigh.
I did very well in the way of money tonight at the shop. I guess people were in a very generous mood. I didn't do that many cuts, but damn if I wasn't getting fantastic tips. If only everyday could be like that. Of course, I closed it up early. I got bored the last half hour waiting to see if anyone showed up for a last minute cut.
It's strange bacause I didn't plan on doing hair for a living. When I was five I wanted to be a truck driver. When I was 8 I wanted to be nadia. When I was 11 I wanted to be a pilot. When I was 15 I wanted to be a beach bum. When I was 17 I wanted to be an interior designer. I went to college and then went to hair school. In hopes of making money right off to finish paying for college. And then I never went back to college. That's kind of fucked up, huh? Not that I don't love doing hair. I do. I find it amusing that most of my clientele is geriatrics. I don't know what it is about me that makes them come back. Well, several I do. I get the old, bitter, mean men and women that come in and think they can just be rude as shit me and I have to put up with it. But I don't. Oh no. i dish the same right back to them. And then they come back and request that I do their hair. Like this guy today. In a wheelchair. Can barely walk. Looks like he was a sailor in the 30's. Just a mean, mean old man. Came in today and was talking to me about a meeting his complex was having for the tenants. I asked what it was for and you know what he said? "I don't know yet, but everytime I come see you I have good luck". What the hell does that mean? When I colored my hair neon orange he said, "Looks like you'll be gettin' all the young bucks in here. And the old bucks". Buck, as in male deer. As in mating season...for Christ's sake.
Anyway....yeah.
So here I am. Thanks people that have left comments. I do feel welcome. Hopefully I will be accepted. Or my phot sets will, as it is.
