In case I am not able to update for awhile, I'm posting something that can just "hang out" until I can make it back.
I need for every person who reads this to do me a favor.
Seriously guys.
I didn't really notice how self-absorbed and detached everyone is until I got away from the city and spent some time up in the mountains where life is slower. You can cash a check at the store with no ID. You don't have to lock your door to your home or car. People smile at one another, strike up a conversation, compliment you, help you out, common courtesy, I guess?
In the city it's not like this at all. If you attempt small talk or try to make someone laugh they will usually look at you like you are a weirdo. They will run you off the road in traffic instead of letting you over. The traffic thing really pisses me off. Driving is dangerous and being a dick can get someone hurt. So this "hit me bitch, I got full coverage" attitude is lame-as-fuck! Full coverage isn't going to fucking matter when you bite your tongue off and have a foot pedal smashing your shin. I'll get over a lane, no big deal.
BUt anyways, enough about that..... What I want is for everyone to be nice to one another. No, nice won't cut it. What needs to happen is kindness. There's a difference. I don't just mean be polite to those you come in contact with just b/c you don't act like a insolent prick towards others does not mean you're being kind. Do something you would normally not think to do and make someone smile. A smile - start with that. It could change someones day. Start a ripple effect. Spread kindness, peace, love and understanding. Gotta run
