This is my way of saying an extra thank you to all of you who support my art in its multiple forms.

EDIT:
Check out my friend Demiurgent's blog about appreciating art. I read it right after I posted this. Some of the things said in this blog melted my heart. Thank you Demiurgent. But mostly it just made me want to try harder and to change this site for the better. That's what art is for, after all, right?? Which reminds me... this is a wonderful philosophical video about art that I watched last night. If you have an extra hour to watch, i think it's very worth it!!

I don't recall a recent opportunity to be supportive but if I've been inattentive, consider me chastened and remorseful. I certainly agree with the sentiments above, aside from the stoned part which I don't relate to, but lettuce not digress. Following your passions is undoubtedly the key to a happy, meaningful and rewarding life. smile

Thanks for friending me. I watched some of your video, kinda long. I do not consider myself a artist, but I love to take and manipulate images. It is just a hobby, but it brings me pleasure. I can show some one the final product, and they sometimes wonder how I get from point A to point C. I have seen some of your work and I think you are very artistic.

I hate to blow my load, but this is one of my favorites. Good subject, all right manipulation. Does it provoke, yes. This is a bad representation because it is a scanned photo, I lost the original

If this does not fit check my page, because I do not know dimensions for a blog

I think that with some artists, discouragement only enthuses them more to create further outstanding work. I do agree with the sentiment in general, though. smile

It was partly tongue in cheek but I do try to be thoughtful and even civilized at times. wink

dont get me started on the whole MR and sets thing, annoys the hell out of me, everyone knows how dodgy the selection process seems but we have no say in it, when it comes down to it its their site, they are only going to select sets that benefit them in some way and not just select sets based on good 'art' unfortunately.

but one simple fact...do a good set and you will get bought, and by good set i mean every photo has to be perfect, all the sets i think are fantastic yet dont get bought always have something wrong with them in one form or another.

and whats sad is in the past sg picked sets that had that...a non-perfectness, its what made sg and what people liked, its no longer like that...everything has to be perfect

I definitely appreciate art in any form and agree, as an artist, that negative feedback has no purpose. Constructive criticism can help and encourage but I've run into negativity that made me contemplate giving up. Thanks for sharing, take care. lovekiss

Bonus points for quoting Kevin Smith! I love his stuff, both movies & talks; and man can he talk! lol

I have an artistic flair & a good eye for things, but am not what most would call an artist (except my rolling skills, which some attribute to art...) Never-the-less, having painted, acted & sung in the past, I try to support as much as possible. After all, life without art would be dull.

And speaking of dull, why aren't you pink yet??? biggrin

If only more people weren't afraid to express themselves, this world would be even more of a beautiful place. Thank you for all you do
