Hello my friends!! Some of you may have noticed me missing in action lately (congratulations, if this was you, apparently you like me more than other people do). I've been working for Eleventh Hour Haunted House in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. That is, outside of my full time job. So really, I'm running low on time to socialize, and I apologize for this. If you're in the area, feel free to visit any night (I might not be there this Sunday though, fyi). I'll be acting as a doll maker and wandering around the lines before you actually get into the house. I don't have a picture of this year's character yet, but I wear a torn up layer of dresses that you would typically see a doll wearing, and I walk around holding a doll face that looks like this:

Yes, I made it myself. I also do my own costume and makeup. And I helped a little with the set in house. Here are some pictures from my years past of working at Haunted Manor (I was actually on of the people in charge of that one... we couldn't find a space to host the haunt at this year though... SO SAD!!!) if you wanted to see some creepiness:
That is me and my best friend Libby (who you may or may not remember from my Valentine's Day adventure). She's also an artist, but less into the acting. It was exciting to get her to dress up with me! By the way, I'll be telling more about a separate adventure further down the blog. Yes, that is the same Libby.
Me and my mommy. She is the reason why I started working in haunted houses when I was five or six years old. I was a bipolar bride that got a little too hungry at the alter...

This one is my version of a Silent Hill nurse. I also made this mask.
Anywho, I'll be working about 16 hours a day because of this, so I'm sorry I wont be about to chat with everyone!!! But since I have the chance to right now, I'll tell you about my day at the pumpkin farm. It was my one weekend day off this month (except maybe if I take one other day off to visit the other haunted houses around Chicago). We most definitely had fun even though it was really set up for small children. And I mean REALLY small:
From left to right that's me, Brennan, Libby, Charles, Amanda (my wife), and Nick.
We did all sorts of fun things like a corn maze that seemed like it would never end. I'm pretty sure we got lost...
But don't worry! We found our way out. And we were very satisfied with our efforts.
And more fun ensued.
And we found some animals. The pigs and cows were important, as they always are. My favorite animal is a cow and the wife's favorite is a pig. I added this picture because they are the cutest pig ears EVER!! But I had more fun with the calf. She was licking my hand over and over and over. I've never had cow kisses before!!!

Eventually we went on the hayride out to the pumpkin patch...
... and went in search for the perfect pumpkin.
After having some fun on the giant pumpkins we didn't want to pay $50 for...

... we did find a collection of pumpkins to take back.

We had a wonderful time being silly and spending the afternoon at Heap's. It was a very nice break from all the work, even if I only had five hours of sleep after my twenty hour day the day before.
Also... I thought you guys might appreciate this. I didn't realize until then that Mario's super mushrooms grew in the form of pumpkins. But you learn something new every day!!
