It is now officially cold as hell up here, 17 degrees last night, it could be a long winter. Thanksgiving was good, lots of friends and family, and not to many drunken episodes by trashed family members like last year, its really kinda nice to do thanksgiving without all the drama for a change...

I'm also thinking about ordering a print of Hylas and the Nymphs as a gift for my sister this year.



Its one of my favorite paintings, apparently my sister's too, she stole (she would call it borrowed) my print (of the above) twice! The first time around seven years ago when she was one of several friends helping me move, I unpacked everything and realized it was missing, I knew that most of my friends wouldn't do it, or want it for that matter, so I narrowed it down to her, I confronted her on it but I couldn't get a word out of her. She must have succumbed to guilt several months later when she gave it to my mother who in turn gave it back to me.
But apparently the guilt didn't last very long, because she took it again a couple of years later when I had most of my stuff stored at my mothers when I moved back from Phoenix, until she finally coughed it about up three years ago. She literally turns into Gollum with the ring when it comes to this painting, so I think its the perfect x-mas present for her, plus I can give her shit again about being a thief...
