Model FAQ

1.1 How do I become a SuicideGirl?

1. The first step is to fill out the Model Application. If you're accepted, we'll email you the login information you need to begin the next steps of the process.  

If you're an existing member of SG, you'll be able to access your Applicant area directly from your Home page by clicking on the "Model" tab.

2. Once you're in the Applicant area, we'll then need you to upload 2 forms of ID, a model release (that gives us permission to use your photos), and a W9 form if you are a US citizen (required for tax purposes). Be sure to also fill out your profile if you aren't already a member!

3. You shoot a set and submit it to our Member Review section. If your set is accepted you will get a free year membership to the site. A set is 40-60 photos of you, starting fully clothed and ending fully nude.

  4. When your set goes live in Member Review, members and other models will be able to comment and "like" your photos. SG Staff chooses Sets of the Day to be featured on the front page from the MR sets that get the best feedback, and those that we think are the best fit for SG.

5. When you have your first set accepted as the "Set of the Day", that is when you become a SuicideGirl. We pay $500 for each Set of the Day that we buy.

1.2 Where do I send my application?

To apply to be a SuicideGirl, click JOIN at the top of the page or click here. This is the ONLY place to apply to be a SuicideGirl!

Fill out the application and include at least 3 images that best represent you. The photos you include with your application DO NOT have to be nude or professional - they can just be selfies!

Make sure to put your full legal name on your application, not a modeling name or other nickname.

After you apply, we'll email you back with the next steps!

1.3 I can't log in to my application!

If you lost the password to your Application, click here to request a new one.

Enter the email address you used for your model application and click the green Reset Password button. We'll send you an email shortly after. Make sure to check your spam and junk folders if you don't see anything from us.

1.4 I'm a Member and can't locate my Model Application!

If you're a member and an applicant, click on YOUR HOME PAGE and then the light grey MODEL tab. This is where you can manage your application, upload IDs, paperwork and even your photoset!

1.5 I'm a paying member who is stuck in the applicant area. Help me!

Don't panic. We can fix this for you! Fill out a help request and explain that you're a paying member who can't access the site because you are stuck in the Applicant area. We'll adjust your account settings and you'll be back on the site in no time.

1.6 Why can't I see sets on the site or start a blog?

Your application page is a separate section of the website that you do not have to pay to access. When you send us a set and it is approved for Member Review, then you will be given a free membership to the site and you can have a blog and see all the sets.

If you want a membership now so you can browse groups and photo sets, you can purchase one here while signed into your application, and all of your application information will carry over: HTTP://SUICIDEGIRLS.COM/JOIN/

1.7 Who can see my application?

Your application is only visible to you and select members of staff and will not be shared. Any IDs, forms, or other information you submit is strictly confidential.   

None of our staff members will EVER ask you for your login information, or request that you send nude photos to their email. Your entire application should be completed through your model application page, and everything you upload there is confidential and will not be shared.

2.1 What IDs do I need to send you? Why?

We need TWO of the following IDs to prove that you are over 18 years old.

Your forms of ID can be any of the items below. One MUST be a photo ID that shows your birthdate and both MUST be current (not expired) and match the name on your application.

* A driver's license
* A passport
* A Social Security or National Insurance card
* A birth certificate
* A University ID
* A military ID
* Any other state or government-issued ID

These are the ONLY acceptable forms of ID. We cannot accept your debit/credit card, car insurance policy, gym membership, work ID, etc.

2.2 How can I get my ID to you?

We must have two forms of ID before approving your set for Member Review. Please scan or photograph each form of ID separately and then upload them to your applicant account under the IDS tab. Just follow the prompts to choose the file and upload - It's super easy!

Please note, scans or photos of all documents must be CLEAR AND LEGIBLE. We do not accept faxed copies.

2.3 Where do I find the Model Release? How do I get it to you?

There are two ways to submit the Model Release. You only need to pick one of these options.

OPTION 1: Fill out our digital Model Release form by clicking the green SUBMIT ONLINE button under Option 1 of the Model Release section of your Paperwork page.

OPTION 2: You can DOWNLOAD A PDF VERSION OF THE MODEL RELEASE, print it out, fill it out *by hand* then upload a clear photo or scan in .jpg format by using the green CHOOSE FILE button under Option 2 of the Model Release section of your Paperwork page.

I filled my release out incorrectly/submitted the wrong file, help! No worries! Simply click here (while logged in) to fill out a brand new digital release OR email your hard copy to: modelassist@suicidegirls.com and SG staff will swap the file out for you.

2.4 Where do I get a W9? What do I do with it?

You have two options for getting the W9 to us. Fill it out and submit it digitally or print off a hard copy, fill it out by hand, then scan it or take a clear photo and upload it.

How do I fill it out digitally? This is definitely the easiest and quickest route. Simply visit the PAPERWORK tab on your model account, then under the W9 (US RESIDENTS ONLY) section click the green SUBMIT ONLINE button. This will open the W9 file which you can type directly on and sign digitally. The file will be automatically dated once you submit it.

How do I fill out and submit a hard copy? This option requires a printer. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE W9 FORM. Print off the form, fill it out by hand with blue or black ink and sign it, then scan it or take a clear photo. Save the file as a .jpg, then under the W9 (US RESIDENTS ONLY) section click the green CHOOSE FILE button and select your W9 file.

* If you are a US Citizen, we need a W9 from you.
* If you are NOT a US Citizen and live outside the US, we do NOT need a W9 from you.
* If you are a non-US Citizen living in the US, you’ll need a Green Card to receive payment.

PLEASE NOTE:  As this is a tax form, we are not able to advise on your specific filing status or HOW to fill this form out, but you can always Google "How to fill out a W9 form" or consult a tax professional!

2.5 Where do I get the Photographer Release? What do I do with it?

You will be prompted to upload a Photo Release when uploading your photoset. Whoever shoots your set (this includes you!) should fill out the Photographer Release. Even if your friend shoots your set, they still need to fill it out before we can put your photos on our site. There are a few ways you can get the release to us.

You only need to pick one of these options.

OPTION 1: If someone else took the photos in your photoset, you can invite them to sign the release by sharing the available link below your upload with them.
OPTION 2: If YOU took the photos, click the available link to fill out the release yourself.
OPTION 3: You can download a PDF version of the form, print it out, have your photographer fill it out *by hand* then upload a clear photo or scan using the + UPLOAD PHOTO RELEASE button. If you're having trouble uploading the file please email it to: modelassist@suicidegirls.com and we will upload it for you.

When you've fulfilled one of these options, just click the green SAVE PHOTOGRAPHER RELEASE button.

2.6 Can you send me copies of the documents I submitted?

No, sorry. You are always encouraged to keep a copy of any releases or documents. We do not provide copies of any of our documents to anyone.

3.1 What is a set? Do I have to get naked?

A "set" is a series of 40-60 pictures of you, starting fully clothed and ending fully nude, shot in one session with the same outfit, theme, and setting.  

Nudity should begin in the first third of the set, and by the end of the set, you must be fully nude, no exceptions. Fully exposed breasts and bums are required, but think tasteful pin-up style poses, rather than explicit or erotic nudity. Please do not include any overtly sexual shots in your submission, and penetration is never allowed.

You should submit your images fully prepped, at the largest size possible. Images smaller than 4000 pixels on the longest side and under 3mb will not be accepted, and it's best to upload the images at their original size. SG is optimized for retina displays, so the bigger the better!

First sets must be in color - No black and white sets will be accepted for first sets.

Any set of photos submitted should not appear anywhere else on the web. It is okay to post a few previews to your blog or Instagram or whatever, but please no more than three.

You must have taken the pictures while you AND your photographer were both 18 or older, so if you turned 18 recently please keep this in mind.

3.2 I've never modeled before, can you help me?

That's totally okay! We don't expect SuicideGirls to be professional models, and we love the "girl next door" vibe in a set! We want everyone to look her best, though, so we have put together this Model Guide to help you decide how to present yourself best!

Have this guide up before you shoot and while you are shooting - there are lots of great examples that will break down exactly "How to Look Good in Photos Without (looking like you are) Really Trying." ;)

3.3 What should I wear in my set?

Your wardrobe should express who you are. Dress how YOU feel sexiest! Casual and classy never go out of style, so try to pick outfits that are casual but cute, or a little sexier but still classy.

3.4 What about hair and makeup?

Do your makeup however you like, we just want to see YOU and appreciate your natural beauty!

3.5 Where can I shoot a set?

Almost anywhere, really! Please see our model guide for lots of location ideas and examples from sets we love!

The possibilities are endless when it comes to picking a location, but wherever you choose to shoot, make sure the area is not cluttered or messy. The setting should not distract the viewer from your gorgeous modeling, after all!

The only place that we ask that you DO NOT shoot is in a studio, in front of a plain backdrop - you are much more interesting than that! We will not accept any sets shot in front of a plain studio backdrop.

3.6 Are there things should I avoid in my set?

Yes. Here are some things we ask that our models do not include in their sets:

*Anything childish in nature i.e. pacifiers, nursery rhyme themes, childlike wardrobe/styling, excessive stuffed animals or dolls.
*Live animals. If they're just hanging around thats ok, but please do not heavily interact with them or place them anywhere near your genitals.
*Penetration, spread shots, or anything super close-up or overly explicit.
*Smearing paint, dirt, candle wax, food, bodily fluids, or anything else messy, drippy, or oozy all over yourself.
*Blood or anything else violent in nature.
*Ahegao will not be accepted.
*Masks. If you do choose to wear one, it should come off halfway (or earlier) through your set.

If you have a specific theme or cosplay that calls for any of the above themes or props, please email the model team to discuss ahead of time. We'd hate for you and your photographer to put a ton of work into a set that we can't accept!

4.1 What is Member Review?

Member Review is the area of the site where all sets on SuicideGirls are posted. All of the sets on SG go through the MR process. Here is how it works: 

1. Your set will be reviewed by our Model Coordinator first to make sure it meets our minimum photography requirements.

2. If your set is approved, it is then added to the Member Review Queue and your free one year Hopeful account will be set up. The "queue" is all the sets waiting in line to be posted into the Member Review section. We space out the sets so that each set gets equal time and attention on the front page of the site and so that 50 sets aren't posted at once.

At this point in the process, you are officially a "Hopeful" because you "hope" to become a SuicideGirl. You are considered a Hopeful until your set goes up as the "Set of the Day."

3. Once your set is available for members and other models to see, they will be able to comment and "like" your photos. SG Staff chooses Sets of the Day to be featured on the front page from the sets that get the best feedback and those that we think are the best fit for SG.

4. If your set is accepted as the Set of the Day, you will become a SuicideGirl. We pay $500 for each set that you have go up as the Set of the Day.

4.2 How do I send you my set?

It's super easy to upload your set to the site!

1. First, log in and navigate to the page where you will upload your set.
* For new models who have not had a set accepted previously, just click on your PHOTOSET tab.
* For existing SGs and Hopefuls, click HOME, then the SUBMIT SET tab.
From here, scroll to the bottom, and click the green UPLOAD A PHOTOSET button.

2. Fill out the set name and, if you like, an introduction.

3. Upload your pictures: Just drag and drop ALL of the images you want to include at once. You will not be able to edit the set after it has been uploaded, so make sure to select the exact images you want on the site! (See section 3 of this FAQ for all of the requirements sets!)

4. Upload your Photo Release: This is required if you shot with anyone other than a Team Photographer - We cannot approve a set without it.

5. Click SUBMIT PHOTOSET and wait for the next page to load!

Please note:
* All images and forms must be uploaded in .jpg format.
* Images smaller than 4000 pixels on the longest side and 3mb each will not be accepted, and it's best to upload the images at their original size.
* We will not do any additional retouching on your images, so please make sure you are submitting your photos exactly as you would like them displayed on the site.
* Our uploader adds the SG logo automatically. Sets uploaded with additional logos or watermarks will be rejected.

If the uploader quits on you, just try again. We will remove any sets from the system that did not finish uploading all the way. It's okay if takes you a few tries.

If you are having problems uploading your set, please email modelassist@suicidegirls.com and we will send you some troubleshooting tips!

4.3 When do I hear back?

You should get an email letting you know about your submitted set within about a week.   You must have the required IDs and paperwork on file for us to review your set. Sets uploaded without 2 forms of ID will be deleted right away, as it is illegal for us to review it without these.

If you have not heard back about your set within a week, please check your email. We have likely been blowing you up trying to get all your paperwork on file!

4.4 When will my set be posted for review?

When your set is approved for Member Review, it will not be posted right away. We space out the sets so that each set gets equal time and attention on the front page of the site and so that 50 sets aren't posted at once.

To find out when your set will be posted, go to your profile and click on the PHOTOS tab. Each of your sets will have your set name and photographer's name at the top, and the estimated time until your set is viewable by members will be displayed just below that!

4.5 How much will I get paid? And when?

We pay $500 USD for each set chosen as Set of the Day.

You will be notified if your set is selected as Set of the Day, and your set payment will instantly be deposited into your SG account. You can cash out your SG account (at a minimum of $50) from your NOTIFICATIONS page.

Your payment will be sent to the name you have on file with us, so please make sure this is correct!

*See section 6.5 for info on how to update these.

4.6 How do you decide what sets go up as the "Set of the Day"?

SG Staff chooses Sets of the Day to be featured on the front page from the sets that get the best feedback and those that we think are the best fit for SG. Here is the criteria we consider:

* Ratio of the amount of likes and comments to time in Member Review 
* Diversity of commenters
 * Quality and length of comments 
*   Ratio of Loved It to Not For Me 
* Feedback from the SG Photographers 
* Model activity on the site (blogs, comments, groups, etc.) 

We don't always pick the sets with the highest number of comments or likes, although often sets with a high number of comments are chosen because a high comment count usually goes hand-in-hand with doing well in other criteria.

The number of sets a girl has in Member Review can sometimes affect whether or not we buy a set, too. If a girl has multiple sets in Member Review, we will not always pick the set that has the most comments or likes - We try to choose the set that we think is the best reflection of the girl.

Any set that is currently in Member Review is eligible to become the Set of the Day. Just because your set is not chosen as Set of the Day right away does not mean that you should lose all hope! We have been known to buy sets that have been in MR for several months to a year, or even longer!

4.7 Can you take my photos down?

That depends!

Member Review sets

As an active model, Member Review sets can only be deleted after they have been live (viewable by members) on the site for 90+ days. You will receive an email when your set has successfully been uploaded. Please be sure to review your submission and make any changes as soon as possible to ensure the images in your set are exactly what you want displayed on the site!

You can request any eligible MR sets be removed by emailing modelassist@suicidegirls.com with a link to the set(s) along with your request. If you need a set removed due to extenuating circumstances please let us know.

If you are moving on from SG permanently and need sets removed please email: modelcoordinator@suicidegirls.com

Sets cannot be resubmitted after they have been removed from Member Review.

Sets of the Day

We cannot ever remove any sets that have been featured as the Set of the Day, for any reason.

5.1 WHAT KIND OF PHOTOS AND VIDEOS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE UPLOADED TO MY BLOG?

SuicideGirls is a community based website, and we do want you to be able to express yourself through your pictures and your blogs. However, our community guidelines prohibit content that is hateful, pornographic, or anything that would get you or SG in trouble with the law. SuicideGirls and Hopefuls may not upload any photos or videos that depict any sex acts, any form of penetration, or that feature nudity from anyone other than SuicideGirls or Hopefuls who have been verified by SG staff.

Please refrain from posting images or videos of the following: images featuring sex toys or body fluids, extreme close ups of your genitals/anus, images of you touching yourself or masturbating, and overly explicit/spread shots. There are many private groups for you to post images of this nature! Please be sure to read all group rules before posting.

Please note: posting nude content of models not registered on SuicideGirls.com is a violation of our Terms of Service. Any models featured in personal posts on your profile, on SG livestream or in any submitted photoset must first apply and be verified by SG staff. Staff will remove any photo or video content that violates the Terms of Service.

5.2 What does it mean to be a Hopeful?

Once you have a set in the Member Review queue, you are considered a "Hopeful" because you "hope" to become a SuicideGirl. You are considered a Hopeful until you have a set chosen as the "Set of the Day."  

You will receive one free year added to your Hopeful account for each set you have accepted for MR. If you become a SuicideGirl, you will have a free lifetime account.

5.3 How do I get people to notice me so that they will comment on my set?

The best way to get noticed is being an active member on the site! Uploading a profile picture, posting in your blog, joining groups, interacting with other models and members…Just generally being friendly!

What you don't want to do is annoy members by spamming people via comments or messages, posting about your set in groups or threads that are not relevant, or being insincere just to try to get followers or likes.

All sets in MR are featured on the PHOTOS tab of the site for members to see, so people will not miss it, don't worry!

When your set is posted for review and members can comment on it, then you can post about it in your blog and in the SG Hopefuls group (look for the monthly thread). There are a few additional threads in other groups for promoting MR sets as well, but please only post about your set where it is allowed.

Posting about your set in other areas is considered spam. Sending private messages asking for people to check out your set or to follow you are also considered spam. Spamming is prohibited on SG, so please do not do these things!

5.4 Can I change my profile picture?

Of course. Just click your name at the top tool bar next to your photo, it will take you to your profile. There's a yellow camera button on your current profile picture, clicking that will enable you to upload profile pictures and even choose previously uploaded profile pictures. The uploader will also give you the opportunity to crop your photo however you'd like.

Suggestions of what NOT to choose for your profile picture: Poor photo quality, too far or too close (try to keep it head and shoulders, or it will look weird), blurry or distorted photos, pictures where we cannot see your face (including sunglasses), and nudity - please keep your profile picture PG, since anyone can see these!

5.5 Can I change my name?

No. When you apply to be a Model we ask you what username you'd like, so make sure you pick something you can live with forever!

Please keep in mind:
*You will not be able to choose a username if another member or model already has that name.
*This is an actual name that people will associate you with so choose something realistic! We are not AOL instant messenger, this is not a screen name - names that are too outrageous (like CherryZombieKiller or PrincessLolita) will not be accepted if you become a SuicideGirl.
*For safety reasons, we strongly advise against using your real name in any form. Please remember that your SG username will be associated with your sets and profile forever!

If you're having trouble thinking of names, try looking at a site like babynames.com for some inspiration, coming up with a combination of two names (like JessicaLou or LillianRose), or choosing a pretty word in another language.

If your username is a bunch of random numbers please email modelassist@suicidegirls.com and we can update it for you.

5.6 How do I get it to say "Hopeful" under my name?

Anyone who wants to be a SuicideGirl is considered a Hopeful, but you must have a set in Member Review to get the Hopeful label on your profile.

6.1 What payment options are available?

We offer payment for US models via check or direct deposit. We offer payment for models outside the US via Paypal, Paxum, PMI Americas or Transferwise. Payment questions can be directed to: accounting@suicidegirls.com.

6.2 If my employer / family / friend finds out, will you take down my sets or delete my profile?

We can only remove Member Review sets from active model profiles after they have been live in MR (viewable by members) for at least 90 days. We do not have a way to remove entire profiles, and cannot delete any sets that appeared as Set of the Day. (Please see section 4.7 of this FAQ for more on this!)

If you are a SuicideGirl, you may ask for your profile and sets to be archived at any time, which removes them from high traffic areas of the site, but they will remain accessible to members. Hopeful profiles cannot be archived, but you are welcome to delete any content you have posted (including blogs, videos, photos and albums, profile photos and vital stats) and request your username be anonymized. Please email: modelassist@suicidegirls.com when you are ready to move on from the site.

If you are frightened of someone finding your profile or sets, please do not apply to be a SuicideGirl. It's nearly impossible to undo being naked on the internet.

6.3 I hear SuicideGirls get recognized in public a lot, will this happen to me?

It might. Some SuicideGirls have told us they get recognized and approached in public quite often, others never have. If you cherish your privacy this is probably not the best place for you to model.

6.4 HOW DO I GET FEATURED ON THE SUICIDEGIRLS INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, ETC?

We try to feature a variety of our models on our social media accounts! If you are a SuicideGirl or a Hopeful looking for more info about how to be featured, please check out the Social SG Network group!

6.5 How do I change my contact information?

It is extremely important that you update your profile on SuicideGirls any time you have a change to your personal information, such as your legal name, mailing address, e-mail address, or bank info.

If your information is not up to date, there may be problems sending your payments, or you may miss out on a really cool opportunity in your area!

To update your info, first sign in and click HOME, then click ACCOUNT. Make any necessary changes, then click the green UPDATE CONTACT INFO button to save everything. This is the name and address we will use on any checks or packages we send you, so be sure that everything is accurate and that your real name is listed!

 Your personal information is not visible to anyone but select members of SG staff. We will not e-mail you to confirm your address before we send you checks, so please make sure everything is current so we can get it right the first time!

6.6 Can I ask for money or presents from members?

In short, NO.

You are welcome to sell prints, artwork, crafts, jewelry, or any other items you make, and post about it on your blog and in any relevant groups or threads. You may also occasionally mention our tipping feature. However, you may not outright ask for money or constantly beg for presents.

Many girls offer signed prints from SG sets as a gift when someone sends them a wishlist item and that is fine, however you may not offer personalized graphic photos or videos in exchange for money or presents. There are tons of places on the internet where you can do that, but SuicideGirls is not one of them.

6.7 How do I find out about fun SG events or the Blackheart Burlesque tour?

We post about the Blackheart Burlesque tour, all big parties, conventions, events, and casting opportunities in the SuicideGirls Only group! All SuicideGirls are automatically added to this group when your first set is accepted as the Set of the Day. 

Events specific to your area will be posted in any relevant regional groups, and you can even start your own event.   To find these groups, you should click the GROUPS tab at the top of the site, then search by your country, state, or city to see what regional groups cover your area. Some groups are for SuicideGirls only, and some are open to members and hopefuls, too.

You can choose to attend any events you like, however SG will not pay for any travel or accommodations unless specifically noted. If you choose to go to an event organized by someone in your area, you must be responsible for your own safety, and should bring a friend you trust with you.

Events can be a lot of fun, but you are never required to attend or participate in any events or activities if you do not wish to!

Dance auditions and any other opportunities relating to the SuicideGirls: Blackheart Burlesque will be posted in the SuicideGirls Only group, as well as the SuicideGirls Burlesque group! Check out blackheartburlesque.com for more information about the tour!

6.8 I don't want to be a SuicideGirl anymore!

If you are currently a SuicideGirl, and you no longer want to be a SuicideGirl, you should email missy@suicidegirls.com and let her know you would like to be archived.

Once you are archived, remember that any purchased sets will remain viewable on the site. We cannot remove your profile or any sets that have been featured as the Set of the Day, for any reason.

Make sure to delete any candid photos, profile information, or other content you would like removed from your account, BEFORE requesting to be archived. Your blogs will be private, but other content will remain viewable if it is not deleted. SG cannot remove personal content from your page after your profile has been archived, and you will no longer have access to the SuicideGirls site.

Again, ALL IMAGES PURCHASED BY SUICIDEGIRLS WILL REMAIN UP ON THE SITE FOREVER.

7.1 Where can I find a list of the SG Team Photographers?

You can see a list of all of our Team Photographers on this page:   suicidegirls.com/about/

You can e-mail any of them in your area that you would like to work with, and they can let you know if they are able to set something up with you. If you are having trouble finding a photographer you can email: photographycoordinator@suicidegirls.com to see if we are working with anyone new in your area.

7.2 What do I do if I can't work with one of the SG Team Photographers?

Many girls will not have access to a professional photographer - and that's okay! If you are not able to work with a Team Photographer, here are some options for finding someone to shoot your set:

* Check out our list of experienced non-team photographers
* Connect with a photographer in the Photographer Hopefuls Group on SG (You will need to be a member of SG, but this is a great resource! There are lots of photographers who are not yet official Team Photographers but have shot a few sets and are knowledgable about what SG is looking for.)
* Look for a professional photographer on Facebook, Model Mayhem, Instagram, etc.
* Or you can even have a friend shoot your set! As long as you have a decent camera and you and your friend do some research, you'll have a good idea of what a set should look like.

7.4 Can my photographer get paid too?

If your set is featured as the Set of the Day, your photographer can be paid $200 as long as they send us the correct paperwork and your set images meet our minimum standards. They should check out the Photographer FAQ for all the details on invoicing.

  If your set has been accepted for Member Review, we can give your photographer a free 3-month membership to the site. They just need to email: photographycoordinator@suicidegirls.com to redeem.

7.5 How do I make sure someone I met online is a legit photographer and not a creep?

Any asshat with a camera can claim to be a nude photographer, but that doesn't mean you should work with them! Start by checking out our Photographer Safety sheet. Here are some very simple, common sense things that you should all do to ensure your safety and comfort when working with new photographers.

* Check a photographer's portfolio and references
* Have an initial meeting in a public place
* Bring a friend to your shoot
* Trust your instincts!

If you do not like a photographer's work, or think their model references are not good enough, please do not work with them. If you get a weird vibe from them, or if you aren't sure that you would feel comfortable posing nude in front of them, please do not work with them. If your photographer will not let you bring a friend, find someone else who will. Even if the person sits in the other room it is better to have someone that you know and trust around, just in case. Your safety should always come first!

No SG Team Photographer, recruiter, or staff member will ever ask you to email nude photos or videos to them, or request a "webcam audition". These are internet pervs trying to get naked pics or video clips of you! Please block and report them immediately, and do not respond to them in any way. If you get a funny feeling about someone trying to recruit you, you can email: modelcoordinator@suicidegirls.com and we can let you know if they truly do work with us.

7.6 Do I have to pay for a photographer?

Team Photographers are not allowed to charge SuicideGirls for sets. They may charge applicants and Hopefuls though. This is their own rate for their services (shooting + prepping the set). It does not go to SuicideGirls.com. Any exchange of money for a photoshoot is a private agreement between you and your photographer.

Non-team photographers are allowed to charge both SuicideGirls and Hopefuls. We encourage them not to charge girls, but in the end it is their decision whether or not they charge a fee.

It is up to you to look at a photographer's work and decide if you want to pay them to shoot a set for you or not. Again, any exchange of money for photos is a private agreement between you and your photographer. You do not have to pay for a photo set if you do not want to, and you are always free to shoot with a different photographer.

8.1 My set got leaked, help!

While our Terms of Service prohibit users from sharing and reposting sets, unfortunately it does happen. Please send any links you find reposting sets to: legal@suicidegirls.com and our legal team will follow up.

You are also welcome to email sites directly demanding that they take down your photos. Tell them they are copywritten images and they have no proof of your age.

8.2 Can I post my sets on other sites?

No. If you decide to post any sets that are currently in Member Review or the MR queue to another site, they will be rendered ineligible for SOTD.

Please keep in mind that SG owns the copyright to any sets that appeared as SOTD. Reposting or selling SOTD sets on other sites is not only a violation of our Terms of Service, but copyright infringement.

*You may to share 3–5 images from any MR or SOTD set to your social media platforms, portfolio site, etc.

8.3 I want to avoid seeing someone's content. Is there a way to hide someone else on the site?

YES. If you'd rather not see someone's posts around the site, you can use the hide feature.

Hiding a member or model will conceal…

*Any of their front page content (SOTD, blogs/photos/videos in the feature feed, MR albums)
*Any of their content on the main Photos page
*Any of their content in your home feed
*Any of their content in the main feed in the app

To enable this feature: Simply visit the member or model’s profile, click VITAL STATS, then click the red slashed out eye symbol next to the block symbol.

A few things to note: Hiding is different than blocking - if you do not want a member or model to be able to message you, follow you, or interact with your content you will need to block them. The hide and block features can be used independently or together. Also, nothing is hidden if you go directly to a hidden member/model’s profile. If you visit their profile directly you will still see their content.

8.4 WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR REPORTING/APPEALING CONTENT REMOVAL?

Remember, some of your posts may be public, and all are viewable to other members on the site. Staff may remove content, issue warnings, or close accounts at our discretion if we feel the content is in violation of our terms. If you would like to report content that you feel violates the TOS please contact: help@suicidegirls.com and use the subject "Violation" (be sure to include a link to the offensive content or any supporting screen shots).

Concurrently, if your content was removed and you feel the decision was made in error you can email: help@suicidegirls.com with the subject “Appeal” and the content attached to the email, as well as a link to where it was originally uploaded.

8.5 How can I submit content for the official SG social media accounts? What if I want my content removed from the SG social media accounts?

If you're an existing SuicideGirl or Hopeful and want to submit content to be considered for the official SG social media accounts, we ask that you please fill out our social media consent form and email it to: content@suicidegirls.com. Our social team will reply to confirm that they received your form and provide information on how & where to submit your content.

If you're an existing SuicideGirl or Hopeful and want to request that your content be removed from our social media accounts, please email: content@suicidegirls.com. Please do not report the posts. Our social team is happy to help and will get back to you as soon as possible to make sure your posts are removed.

8.6 Can I use a few pictures from my set in my portfolio or post them on social media?

You may use 3-5 photos from the set on sites like Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, your portfolio, your personal website, etc.

Any photos you share from a set submitted to SG must display the SG logo.

Please make sure the photos you use on other sites agree with their terms of service - for instance, any photos you post on Instagram must have NO NUDITY, otherwise Instagram will take them down and may ban your account.

After a set has been deleted from Member Review, you and your photographer may do whatever you'd like with the images :)

8.7 What information should I not reveal on the site?

We want you to stay safe - Please do not reveal, under any circumstances, any personal information that could facilitate members locating you or your real name.

This includes in groups, your blog, or your profile. Do not give away your phone number or WhatsApp number, legal name, address, neighborhood, favorite hang outs, school, workplace, etc. For more tips and details, check out the "Being Safe Online" thread: hopefuls / SuicideGirls

We also ask the girls to not disclose any information about where SuicideGirls is located, the people who work here, or any of the other models. Try to keep a level of mystery about your personal life, and use your best judgment!

8.8 Some member is being an asshole to me, what should I do?

If a member is bothering you please use the block feature on the site and avoid them. You can go to their profile and click "Vital Stats" then click the big red BLOCK symbol!

8.9 I'm plus size. I'm not white. Will you accept me as a SuicideGirl?

We do not discriminate based on age, weight, race, tattoos or lack thereof, or anything else that makes you uniquely you! We are always looking for a more diverse group of girls to join our ranks, so please apply!

8.10 Can I shoot a set with my friend?

You should be the only one in your first set. Once you and your friend both have a set on the site in Member Review, then you can shoot a set together.   Multi sets must either be only Hopefuls or only Suicidegirls - we cannot accept sets with one Hopeful and one SG.

8.11 Can I do other modeling that is not on SuicideGirls?

Yes!!! We have lots of SuicideGirls that are successful models outside of their sets on SuicideGirls. Working with other photographers, for magazines or other projects is definitely OK - lots of SGs have successful modeling careers.

We do ask that you do not model for competing sites during your time with SG. If you are currently on a competitor site, please wait to apply until you are no longer modeling for them. If you should choose to model for or create a competing site while you are modeling for SG, we may add you to the archive, rescind your Hopeful or member status, or elect not to purchase your sets from Member Review.

There are only a handful of sites that we would consider to be competing sites. Basically if it is a site that specifically features nude and tattooed, pierced, or otherwise alternative models and has a paid members only section, we would consider it to be a competing site.

If you want to know about a specific site, you should email: modelcoordinator@suicidegirls.com with a link to the site (and a translation if it is not in English). More than likely we will have no problem with you shooting for them, but please check with us first if you aren't sure.

9.1 What kind of behavior can get my account suspended?

The general rules on SG are do not scare or make uncomfortable any other members or SuicideGirls, and do not make the jobs of the people who work on this site harder than necessary. We love our models and hate to have to kick anyone off the site, but there are some things we will not tolerate.

- Do not make racist, sexist, or hateful remarks.
- Do not post explicit pornographic images or videos on your profile or in the groups (i.e. engaging in sex acts, penetration, etc).
- Do not use a fraudulent credit card to purchase tip funds or merch, attempt to hack the site, or run scripts on the site.
- Do not proposition other members for sexual or financial favors, or attempt to run any scams.
- Do not sell videos or content off site via private messages on site. This is also considered soliciting and is a violation of the Terms of Service.
- Do not use the SG site to solicit private, paid calls or streams off the site with SG members (i.e. Skype).
- Do not start a competitor site.
- Do not incite unrest within the community.
- Do not otherwise violate our Terms of Service or do anything that could get you or SG in legal trouble.
All reported complaints must be resolved within 7 days

9.2 My friend wants to use my account to look at pictures, post in my blog, or check out the groups - Is that ok?

No, it's not. You are subject to the same terms and conditions as members, and if you violate them your membership will be revoked. Sharing your account violates SuicideGirls' terms of service.

10.1 What is tipping?

Tipping is a new way for members to show appreciation beyond the “I Loved It!” button. Members can do this by purchasing credits and transferring them to a model or photoset of their choice. Tips do not change the rules for what models and members can do on the site – be respectful and follow our terms.

10.2 Set of the Day payments

All Set of the Day payments will be deposited into your account via the tipping system. You can request a cash out of your tips and/or SOTD payments at any time. Must have $50 minimum in your account to cash out.

10.3 How do I add money to my account?

Add money to your account by going to your Notifications page. On the left side you’ll see a pink ADD MONEY button. Click that and follow the steps.

You can also add money by clicking on the green $ TIP buttons found on the photosets and model’s pages. Click the button and select the “ADD MORE” button.

10.4 Where can tips be left?

Directly on a photoset: This can happen from the page view or album view. You will be notified if a member leaves a tip for a particular set.

On your profile: Tips left from the profile page are not associated to any set – this is just a general way members can say thanks.

Look for the green $ Tip button and try it out!

10.5 Do I get it all?

SG takes 30% to account for the transaction fees. So for example, if you a member tips you $20, you’’ll receive $14.

10.6 What if someone tips a multi-set?

Tips are split evenly amongst all models. All models will be notified when a tip is left.

10.7 Can I tip other models?

Absolutely! Tipping is available for all Hopefuls and SuicideGirls – archived models excluded.

10.8 Can I tip members?

At this time tipping is only available to Hopefuls and active SuicideGirls. Archived models cannot receive tips.

10.9 How do I say thank you?

In your notifications you’ll see a list of members that tipped you and a quick way to reply and acknowledge their generosity. We encourage you to take the time to thank anyone that leaves you a tip!

10.10 How can I generate more tips?

Share your profile link on social media! Put it in your IG, Twitter, and Snapchat to get more of your fans involved in SG. Please do not beg for tips. It is tacky and considered spam.

10.11 How do refunds work?

There are no refunds. Tips are gifts and cannot be refunded. Contact staff if a member requests a refund.

10.12 Can I get a refund for money I added to my account?

No. Any money you add to your account must be spent on SuicideGirls.com.

10.13 How do I cash out?

Go to your NOTIFICATIONS page, click the CASH OUT button and follow the steps. A pop-over will appear and ask you about your payment method. Be sure this is correct. If it’s not, select the “update payment” option.

10.14 What is the minimum cash out?

You must have $200 in your SG bank in order to request a cash out.

10.15 How long does it take to get my money?

Requests are approved within 1 week, however it can take up to 2 weeks to receive payment.

10.16 Why do I still have a balance after I requested a cash out?

Any money you add to your account must be spent on SuicideGirls.com. Cash outs are only for tips you receive and SOTD payments.

10.17 Can I spend my account balance in the SG Shop or use it to renew my membership?

At the moment, no. But we do hope to offer these options in the near future!

11.1 How does the affiliate program work?

Grab your unique affiliate code by going to your Notifications page and share it with your friends and followers. You'll receive $10 for anyone who signs up for a membership!

11.2 How do I get paid?

Models in the US can choose between check or direct deposit. Models outside the US can choose between Paypal, Paxum or Transferwise. To select your payment method, head to your Account page and edit your Contact Info on the left side.

11.3 How do I cash out?

Head to your Notifications page and click the pink “CASH OUT” button on the left side. A W9 (for US-Residents) and a minimum of $50 is required.

11.4 What is the minimum cash out?

$50.

11.5 How long does it take to get my money?

Requests are approved within 1 week, however it can take up to 2 weeks to receive payment.

11.6 Why do I have a balance on my account after cashing out?

Cashing out is for SOTD payments, tips received, and affiliate earnings only. Any remaining balance is money you’ve added to your account to tip models and must be spent on SG.

12.1 How do I live stream?

To start a live stream on SG, simply click the GO LIVE! button on your profile, or on the upper right of any page on the site. Allow SuicideGirls.com to use the camera and microphone on your device, verify your streaming preferences (camera, microphone & quality), then click the GO LIVE ON SG button.

To end a stream, simply click the red END STREAM button.

12.2 Who can stream? Who can view my streams?

Currently, only active SGs and Hopefuls have the ability to live stream. All members and models can view live streams. Live streams are not available to the general public and cannot be viewed unless one is logged in to their SG profile. Any members you have blocked will not be able to view your streams.

12.3 What kinds of things can I do while streaming? What should I not do?

You can do lots of fun things during your stream! Host a Q&A, show off a special talent or hobby, tell jokes, put on your makeup, dance around in your underwear, show behind the scenes while shooting a new set, etc. Nudity is fine, sexual acts are not. Please do not stream with non-Hopefuls or non-SGs. If you do stream with a Hopeful or SG, you must have their consent. Do not beg for tips and do not request tips in exchange for nudity! Do not do anything that violates our Terms of Service. We also ask that you avoid close ups of your genitals while having spread open legs. If its acceptable in a video you post to your SG profile its probably fine during a stream. Please no masturbation or using sex toys, no matter how cute or hidden they may be.

Featuring any individuals that are not verified SG models will result in a permanent ban from live streaming on SuicideGirls.com

If you see something in a stream (or a stream's chat) that is a violation of these guidelines or our TOS please take a screen shot and send it to: help@suicidegirls.com. Certain violations of these guidelines or our TOS may result in a temporary or permanent ban from streaming.

We operate under a 3-strikes you're out system. The first time you violate the streaming guidelines, you will be issued a warning. After the second violation, you will be issued a 30 day livestream ban. Once the ban has been lifted, if we find you have continued to violate the rules, you will be permanently banned from streaming on SG - so please, don't do it

12.4 Can I tell who is viewing my stream?

While streaming you will see a small eye icon with a number next to it in the top right corner of your video window. This is the number of members currently viewing your stream, which can be expanded to see the full list of members by selecting the triangle icon to the right.

12.5 Can I receive tips during live streams?

Yep! But please do not beg for tips or request tips in exchange for nudity.

12.6 What should I do if someone is being a jerk in the chat of my stream?

If someone is being rude or annoying, but not actually violating the SG Terms of Service, please use the block feature. To block someone, simply visit their profile and click on "Vital Stats". On this page you will see a red circle with a slash through it. Click this icon and the member will be blocked from viewing your streams and will not have the ability to follow you, message you, or comment on your content.

If you witness any behavior in the chat section of your stream that violates our Terms of Service please take a screen shot and send it to help@suicidegirls.com and block the member immediately.

12.7 Can I stream with OBS?

Yes! You can stream on SG using Open Broadcaster Software. To go live on SG from OBS, you will need a token and server address. These can be found on your account page.

When you stream from OBS, you will appear as live on SG, whether or not you have joined your own live stream on the site. To participate in the live chat, you will need to go to SuicideGirls in your browser, and click on yourself in the banner, or join your stream from your profile page.

We support streaming in various resolutions, and recommend using the auto-configuration tool to configure OBS with the best settings for your camera and bandwidth. Please do not stream in a higher resolution than your camera supports. We recommend HD resolution (1280x720) @ 30 fps.

12.8 What is OBS? How do I find my stream key?

OBS stands for Open Broadcaster Software. It is an open source software that can be downloaded and used to customize your stream in many ways.

To find your OBS stream key:
• First select the "gear icon" in the upper left hand corner of the page by your username.
• From the dropdown menu select “Preferences”
•Then select “Account” from the menu that appears under the SG logo. Your OBS token should be kept safe and treated as a password, as it will give access to your account through OBS.
• You will also find the server info needed to input into OBS in the same box.

This token will allow you to stream directly to SG when you select the “go live” button on OBS. Huzzah to fancy streams!

13.1 What is Video of the Month?

Similar to “Set of the Day”, we will be posting a "Video of the Month" once monthly. The videos submitted are high quality, artfully curated strip teases that start fully clothed and end fully nude. Please visit the VOTM profile to view and “vote” on all of your favorite videos, submitted by our beautiful SuicideGirls. Leave love on the videos by liking and commenting, just like you do for the sets in Member Review. SG staff will select their favorite videos from those that receive the most positive interactions to feature as “Video of the Month”.

13.2 Can Hopefuls submit videos for VOTM consideration?

At the moment, only official SuicideGirls may submit videos for VOTM consideration.

13.3 What are the basic guidelines for VOTM videos?

Here’s some basic info on the requirements for VOTM submissions:

*Videos should be 3–5 minutes long, shot in landscape/horizontal view
*Videos should start fully clothed and end fully nude, like an SG photoset in motion
*Any music in your video must be license free and royalty free
*Your video cannot include any logos, watermarks, etc.
*Both model and videographer must agree to share the video with SuicideGirls and each submit a video release form
*Videos submitted for VOTM consideration must not be uploaded or sold to any other site

13.4 What kinds of things are prohibited in videos?

We ask that your videos do not exceed the level of nudity allowed in Member Review sets. Our minimum nudity requirements are bare breasts and bum (no pasties and panties must come off). We also ask that you do not do anything in your video that violates our Terms of Service.

13.5 What's the pay?

We pay SuicideGirls $250 for each video selected as VOTM. Team photographers may invoice $250 for each video they shoot that is selected as VOTM and non-team videographers may invoice $100 for each video they shoot that is selected as VOTM.

Please note: submitting a video for VOTM consideration and having it uploaded to the VOTM profile is not a guarantee that your video will be featured as "Video of the Month" - if SG staff selects your video to appear on the front page as VOTM you will be notified.

13.6 Who can shoot my video?

You can have whoever you’d like shoot your video, as long as you are both 18 or older. You can work with a team photographer, a non-team videographer, a friend, or even shoot your video yourself.

13.7 How do I submit a video?

If you’d like to submit a video for VOTM consideration, please email: votm@suicidegirls.com. You will be provided a file request link to upload your video to our Dropbox, then (if it meets our requirements) SG staff will upload the video to our VOTM profile for members to view and leave love on.

13.8 Can I submit a “multi” video?

We will accept videos of multiple models as long as they are all official SuicideGirls, have all submitted video releases, and the video is not too explicit. If a “multi” video is selected as VOTM, all models will split the payment equally (i.e. two models would be paid $125 each).

13.9 Can I receive tips on my videos?

Unfortunately we don’t have the ability for models to receive tips on videos at the moment, but you can still receive tips directly on your SG profile, photosets, and live streams!

13.10 How long does my video have to stay up?

Videos uploaded to the VOTM profile for VOTM consideration must remain viewable to members for a minimum of 90 days before you may request their removal (if not purchased).

13.11 Can VOTMs be deleted?

Just like SOTDs, once a video is selected as VOTM and we pay you, your video cannot ever be deleted.
