First, I'm a big dummy. So this may sound stupid. I am a sculptor. I work with  wood. I  can spend days in the woods just looking and getting lost. It's pure  freedom. I love it.If you like the ocean you should scuba dive at night. There is no feeling like it. It's absolute fear and comfort at the same time it's great. I'm kinda dumb about somethings so I know what you mean about being judged from just what people see. When you said the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
