These damn things run on a timeframe that is completely out of kilter with the known space/time continuum. You move a large folder, for instance. The clock says '3 minutes'. You look again, to see if it is, in fact, doing anything at all, and the clock now says '5 hours', despite 97% of the folder has been moved. The clock will jump to '500 years', and from then to '5 seconds', which will then be displayed for the next twenty minutes. Never defrag a terabyte drive, and stay with it waiting. Go out. forget the defrag for a few hours - if you don't, you'll probably end up killing yourself. ; )
