I lived with someone for 11 years, unmarried except last one, as soon as we did the knot she ran off with the preacher seven months to the day afterwards. Her lawyer had bigger balls than mine apparently. She got everything including the house and car. I got what Maryland law requires: one chair and one table. But I also got the new puppy we adopted after moving in… a better companion indeed.
