yesterday, cirdt and i went to the most magical place in richmond,the daiso. we bought a bunch of stuff, all for $2 an item!! i think i am going to go back there on thursday and get some sparkly bra push up inserts and maybe some chopsticks with ducks on them or something else random and awesome. not that i particularly need push up bra inserts but that is neither here nor there.
we tooled around aberdeen centre and did photos in one of those crazy sticker booths and we got confused by the japanese instructions. go figure. i also had the BEST PHAD THAI everrrr. we came home and had a candlelight dinner with nikala and then did crafty things. it was fab! i finished my second painting, which i will post photos of after i give it to the person i made it for. i can't spoil the surprise, now, can i?
after all those redonkulously fun things, i cleaned my room. it was not fun, but it was necessary. boo to those types of things. i can, however, walk in it now! floor space is a beautiful thing.
i still feel kind of ill but that's to be expected. stupid ear infections! i felt kind of grumpy at work because i was closing with dim hannah but i figured it would be a good time to try to turn over a new leaf. instead of being quiet and not engaging in conversation with her for the 3h we worked alone, i decided to take the plunge and attempt to deal with her excessive bubbliness and airheadedness, and it worked. she is actually pretty nice beyond being not the brightest girl, and not ignoring her made the last bit of work a lot nicer than if i'd grumbled about her.
another good thing about today: 2.99 lentil tuesday at the indian place in granville market. YUM! i live for tuesdays.
