Aaaand, we're back...
To those of you just tuning in, here is a recap of the last couple months:
My new boss at work is pretty cool, but because of my acting, I've lost my standing at work (currently ranking 4th in priority for hours - previously 3rd). Thankfully, I've been getting more hours lately - but still...
Imaginary Invalid has gone quite well and we got a nice little story on us in the Oregonian (I was even quoted).

Closing Weekend: September 4 - 5
Where: Beaverton Library Lawn - 12375 SW 5th & Hall Blvd
When: 5 - 6:30pm
Cost: Free (though we'll gladly accept donations after the show)
Unfortunately, Tuesday before last, as I was walking to the bus outside Lloyd Center, I was assaulted. Some guy clotheslined the back of my head with his elbow and ran off like a punk. The only got enough of a glimpse of him to tell that he was a black guy (about my height) wearing a white t-shirt and a blue cap. I'm thinking it was probably a gang initiation since security ended up finding a group of likewise dressed people (but since nobody had enough for a positive ID..).
Thankfully, help arrived rather quickly. My glasses were retrieved (they'd flown off and into a nearby planter) and some water and paper towels were brought to help stop the bleeding in my mouth. My statement was taken and I was given a ride home.
Initially I thought I had some loose teeth, but later found out (at the Dentist) that my jaw had been fractured. So I ended up spending the next 2 days at the hospital waiting for them to "fit me in" for surgery (if I'd known it was going to take that long, I'd have rather waited and home and saved some money). My stay costs about $13,000 - but I've got some paperwork to fill out that will hopefully reduce that (since A) I was assaulted and thus can apply to the Crime Victims fund and B) I didn't even make that much last year).
Thankfully, they were able to cover at work and my Director was able to find somebody to read my lines in the play (I insisted that I do my own blocking - it actually turned out rather well). Though my mouth is wired, I can still talk rather well - my doctor even encouraged me to practice opening my mouth wide.
I've continued to take my Tango classes - and am getting complemented at my improvement.
I've had to postpone moving out, for obvious financial reasons. But, I'll make due: my dad finally got DSL and Cable (well, direct TV).
So far, I've only been able to get one driving lesson - toolin' around in a parking lot - but I did pretty well.
