I had a dream about Persephone last night. Not the SG, the actual goddess (I assume, I should say). I'm not one for believing in dream interpretation or assigning deeper meaning to them, but I'm also very open to finding out I'm wrong.
Most of my dreams are high adventure. Sometimes brillant colors, sometimes black and white or muted; but always explicit texture, sound and smell. Never continual or recurring, but the landscape remains consistant, no matter what the subject matter was.
For example, my grandparents house appears in my dreams sometimes. When I was younger, it (in the dreams) had a forest across the street from it, with a monster living there.
Later, the forest was torn down (monster driven off, I guess) and later still, housing was put up. My dreams could be about alien invasions, a simple love story, a childhood flashback... different subjects entirely. But each time my grandparent's house (the location) appears, it has aged and whatever happens to it in that specific dream, stays for the next one.
Back to the point.
When I was younger I had the only dream I ever thought was prophecy. It hasn't come true yet (and each day makes my belief in the meaning of dreams fade more and more), but I haven't given up hope and I have plenty of years left to find out.
As a secondary item, for the past couple of years I've been involved with someone and we have had the healthiest, most pleasant break-up ever.
We're still very good friends (the only time I've ever done that) and I'm confident we'll remain good friends forever, despite my sincere and firm wish to not ever date her again.
I went through a normal period of thinking I was ready to go again, but, I'm not a casual sex guy, so I didn't make much of an effort to go out... thus, I really wasn't as ready as I thought.
Recently, I have decided I am ready. Very ready. Ready to find some sweet girl and start attaching labels and running around being stupid and all that. With no hang-ups, baggage, drama or whatnot.
Being somewhat shy, it's been a slow quest, but I'm confident something will turn up and things will kick start forward.
And along comes Persephone (the goddess... not the SG girl... I assume).
Persephone:
Persephone is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter and rules over spring. She was abduction by Hades, then became his wife and Queen of the underworld. In exchange, she gets to spend six months of each year with her mother. Ruling Spring. She's into mint and pomegranates and has been depicted with brown hair, red hair, and with the color purple, among other things
So, I guess I'm sort of excited or perplexed at the same time. I don't really dream of goddess too often. I am reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, which has to do with the return of ancient gods, but nothing about Persephone (the goddess remember). Which is my way of talking myself out of dream deeper meaning. And I haven't really done any research on Persephone until now. Also another attempt to rationalize.
(For the record, I didn't know there was a Persephone SG, either, until now... sorry, Perse; your sets were super cute, though... and you're even a Libra, but astrology is a long winded rant of a different nature).
All in all, I hope I don't have to wait until Springtime for something interesting to happen to tie this all together. I've been patient enough in these years and it's time for the dream meaning goddess to put up or get me back to two gunned, monster killing, alien invasion goodness.

I'm jealous of your dreams, I rarely remember more than snippets of mine.
Oh and, you should maybe go back and edit that "say something nice" entry to add a compliment about the person above you, huh?
Not back just yet.
Misses Mqx.
Back sometime Mon or Tues. (or maybe Wed?)
