On a completely unrelated but infinitely awesome topic... the night I got home from Hell City, Chris proposed to me, and we are now ENGAGED! He had cleaned our whole room, done all the dishes and laundry, and filled our room with candles and heart shaped balloons. I absolutely melted when he went down on one knee. I can't believe I'm getting to marry my best friend, I feel so lucky! (I know during my last blog, I mentioned how we had broken up, but being apart made us realize that we never wanted to be without one another again.) I'm extremely happy.
We haven't set a date yet, but we're thinking fall of next year. This is my fiance:

Chris also wrote a song for me (27/57, because those are our numbers, we see them fucking everywhere) before we got engaged, trying to win me back. It totally worked, I cried like a fucking baby the whole way through the first time, but the ending makes me cry every single time. I'd really like to share this with all of you, it's my favorite. I dare you not to swoon for his voice

The first night, we all shared the bed,

We also went to Second City theater and caught an improv act. We even visited some of my family on the south side whom I hadn't seen since Christmas one decade ago. It was nice having a lot of quality time with my mom, I had really missed her.
