In Canada we are experiencing a mad Mod revival. Pete Meaden once described Mod as "clean living under difficult circumstances". To that tune, in each large city there exists The Mod Club -- a weekly gathering of well-dressed but quite unwealthy young men and women. We dress to the nines and drink the cheapest drinks we can find while dancing our hearts out 'til the lights come up. It's a glorious forgetting of our daily troubles and is hardly the mating ritual of the typical club scene; it's something wholly ours.
My dress came to me by way of The Le Robo Store and Birds of Paradise Vintage where you can find lovely hand-picked vintage dresses to fit any budget, large or small. This feat of modern photography was gracefully performed by my lovely Lindsay. Her bicycle is also featured in this photoset.
Off I go to dance around half-naked in my apartment to "This Charming Man" by The Smiths.
