Hello again SG friends!
It seems my posts are getting fewer and further in between. As much as I miss all of you, my life just seems to stay busy and hectic! I have a Friday night off for once and instead of going out, I am here, at home, enjoying some quiet time and catching up on old email and of course with all of you.
The year 2011 is almost gone and I like to think back and reflect on the things that have shaped it. The good and the bad make up our lives and I like to look back with a smile.
*spoilers*
The past few months have been really great. I love my job, my apartment and my very sweet boyfriend.
In early October I got to go up to New Hampshire for the first time ever! The leaves were changing and the weather was cool and nice. I would have loved to spend more time up there but it was a quick trip as Ben was only going for a track race. I spent the day riding horses instead of being one of those women that waits around all day at the track for her man. Horses are more fun.

At the end of the day I went to pick Ben up and he was thrilled to announce that he had won. Just look at that happy face!

We recently took a trip back to Portland visit my mom and grandmother. It was Ben's first time to Portland and meeting them but it went very well. We really packed the sight seeing in with family, friends, the city, the gorge, OMSI, the coast and of course a trip to my grandparents' farm. Here's a few photos from the trip!

I went shooting with my mom, her husband and Ben. Here I am holding an AK-47 which might be the most terrifying and exciting experience of power.

With my lovely grandmother!

So thats that! My year and the last few months! I work a lot and who knows when Ill get back to you next! I hope everyone had a happy holiday and a beautiful new year!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I started the year with a fresh breakup and a new job. A cold and hard time for me. My social life seemed to be blooming but it came at the cost of an over consumption of drugs and alcohol. In that time, however, I did learn to love winter in New York.
Spring brought some great trips out of the country and out of the city. I spent two weeks in Istanbul in March and a quick trip home to Portland in May. While in the Northwest I went camping with a friend and went shooting with my mom.

The month in between was mostly uneventful. I started seeing a therapist regularly and quit drinking and going out so much. I would have to say it was one of the better decisions Ive made in life.
As the weather got warmer through May and June I had yet another big transition. I started spending time with some new people (a better influence I have to say) and was introduced to a wonderful gentleman by the name on Ben. We quickly started seeing a lot of each other and its been wonderful since.
In August I started yet another new job at a great cocktail bar in Queens. I have loved every second of working there. Its a beautiful space with amazing people, coworkers and customers alike.
Ben started teaching me to ride bigger, faster motorcycles, sport bikes to be more specific. I have fallen in love with speed. And I will be selling my Yamaha for something new soon. I have my eye on a 2005 Ducati Monster (not a sport bike but fast and sexy none the less) that a friend is looking to sell. This is it......

In September I moved into a new apartment with two close friends. There is a community garden on the corner that I have joined and I am looking forward to spring and watching things grow again.
And of course, I had a new set go live! My first in over a year!
For the most part things have been wonderful this year and I cant be more thankful for that. Little dramas and bouts with stress and anxiety here and there but overall its been perfect.
