oh it was the most painful thing i've ever gone through. and the pain lasted for days. it was so much worse than getting tattooed. its like they r snapping a rubberband against your skin over and over. and that rubberband happens to be ON FIRE. (and thats how it felt after letting the skin sit with lidocaine on it for an hour b4 lasering).

For a wedding party dress, it is a nice dress so that's cool that you got to keep it. Although, it could just be that it looks great on you.

something fast! I'd recommend getting the 35 mm 2.0 -- that is an excellent lens to start with. You want something fast if you shoot available light (without flash/strobes.)

Another good lens is the 17-85mm ef-s (4.0)... It's not nearly as fast but you'll have a really nice wide to telephoto range on it plus the glass on this lens is really nice. You can get a used one for around $350 off of craigslist. Did you get any kind of lens with your camera or are you completely lensless?
