I always feel like I'm walking that line, but the reality is that people see me differently then I see myself. To others I'm gregarious when inside I feel reserved.

i realise this is old, but i just read it and i think its interesting, i think i get where your coming from, seems like your talking about life and creativity rather than art, but those are all just words of course, give people more credit, they probably glimpse the ideal somewhere in their work, or at least they wanted to but got stuck doing things they could sell because they need the money, if you love making things, sometimes it doesn't matter to you if those things are not what you would have chosen to make. But getting so bored of the whole false competition and pretense of it all, thats relatable, wanting to get back to the simple things, to the action of living, makes perfect sense, but if that was all we needed from art then there would be no such thing as art as we know it, which must i think, even when it is diliberately obtuse, be about communication.

I dumped my treo in January to go back to my "regular phone". It was just too annoying to use as a phone. The Ipone *is* pretty and I love me my gadgets, but I stumble over the concept of a thin glass phone. I mean, I am pretty much Mr.Butterfingers.

our office is moving next to this sprint place... and the sprint place wanted the space we're moving into... and i was all like, "yeah... if they give us free.... iphones." and it didn't matter that sprint doesn't make/ provide them. because they should just buy us iphones. regardless, we're not giving up our space. and... it made more sense at the time. to me.

that's what gets me about having shit stolen -- it's not so much that the stuff is gone as much as it is that people like us have to work our asses off for what we have, but now someone else just got it for free? just bam, free shit, no work? not just no work, but actually costing someone work because they put the effort in to earn it but no longer have what they worked for. it makes me want to whine, pout, and kick someone in the balls.
