Here's one of many photos captured from my time in Haiti this past Christmas. The toddler I'm holding is named Nathalie. She'd fall asleep in my arms within minutes of me holding her. What a sweet angel.
Awww. That's a great picture. They're still in bad shape there, I assume? When I went back to the lower 9th ward in New Orleans more than a year after Katrina there were still houses in the streets, downed wires and flipped cars. It looked like the day after the storm, no kidding. Only 3 years later did I see any real clean-up, and as of last year the entire neighborhood is still mostly row after row of bare foundation slabs with a few houses rebuilt here and there and a sprinkling of derelict structures still needing teardown.
