i went and saw you in "boston" a few weeks ago. i was wondering if you could do me a favor the next time you come around... take a lesson from the ramones; SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PLAY MUSIC. i did NOT pay to see you ask the kiddies on one side of the stadium to scream and then run over to the other side and make them do it too, between and during every song you played.

yeah, green day, stop getting the crowd excited, stop making them feel like part of the show. please just play the music and get off the stage.

i saw them in indy monday, and i had a really excellent time..best concert i've been to in a while, really. but that's just me, and i get bitchy after 1 am.

dear shawn,

shut the fuck up. we are millionaires. we dont need you or anyone else who made us what we are today. as a matter of fact, we dont even need lookout records anymore because they arent a huge major label with lots of money. just keep your mouth shut and send a bunch of 15 year old girls to our shows. hopefully they and all of their 15 year old friends will buy a shit-ton of over priced tickets because we need money for more eye liner.

i have no problem with getting the crowd excited but there is a point at witch it becomes overkill. interaction is cool i have seen many other big name bands do this but tgreen day just seemed to do way to much of it. maybe it is just me and my being "old" and having been to 100s of concerts where the norm was not what it was that night. i could be wrong. it happens.

Left Half Vs Right Half is a stadium concert staple. It's as old as time itself. If you don't like it, stick to seeing bands in small venues.

"Uh-oh, left side, sounds like the right side is a little bit wilder!! Let's see if you can make some noise!!! I thought Worcester was the rockinest town in the country?!?"

They left Lookout because Lookout couldn't pay them ANYTHING anymore, let alone what they were owed. Green Day made Lookout BARRELS of money over the years and kept them in business about a decade longer than they would have been without them.

Though for the record, I liked Green Day shows better when they weren't so much of a production, but they still put on a better show than 99% of the other bands at their level out there.

i saw them in detroit, and i agree that there was way too much making opposite sides of the stadium scream, and why stop the first song to start the wave??? i felt that they were trying tobe political but failing miserably, if you want a political concert do it, don't just half ass say you hate bush and rednecks...

on the plus side, the second half of the show was better, but still not enough music, and they did cover an op ivy tune (though last time i saw them they covered 3 op ivy tunes which was GREAT)

i like them better as a punk band in a small venue, than as a rock/pop band in an arena...

Dear Green Day,

You totally ruined the 1998 Godzilla remake for me.

I could get over the fact the new Godzilla didn't look like the classic Godzilla ('cos I was stoned). But then your stupid song was blasted during what should have been a cool scene where Godzilla strolls leisurely through the center of town.

Damn you. Damn you to Hell.

these guys are getting older-i'm sure breaking to get the audience involved is a nice way for them to keep some stamina. and their new album is getting them a lot of younger kids, and making them feel like part of the show is really going to be something that'll stick with them and keep them coming back b/c they'll have felt like they made a connection with the band. all i'm saying is don't shoot them for trying to be entertaining. i didn't mean to jump your shit or anything.

Dear Green Day,

If I still liked your music I'd probably say something to these people writing you letters, instead I'm just going to listen to "Dookie" and pretend I didn't grow out of it five years ago.

Sincerely,
Alex

p.s. Avril Lavigne wants her moan back.

p.p.s. I'll still by your next album for some reason anyway, so don't worry about supporting your kids, they'll be able to go to private school and drive beamers just like all their other rockstars' offspring friends.

Why the hell are you going to shows in a STADIUM? Unless you like paying 50 bucks to see a band from 200 yards away, and looking on the jumbo-tron screen to even make out the members... whatever

I bet the concert took place at the Worcester Centrum, not in Boston.
