Oooh, really? Do they include lyrics/translations on the CD?

If anyone has a copy to send me, I'd love to have it. I'm much too poor to get one frown

funny, i thought ( ) kinda sucked compared to ágætis byrjun. the band has admitted in several interviews they were uninspired and tired of the songs when they recorded it, and i think it's evident. takk is fresh, and in my opinion is even better overall then ágætis byrjun, though i'm not sure if there are any tracks that touch svefn-g-englar and starálfur.

lovely album.

The more I listen to it, the better it sounds. Might well be their best one yet.

The first time I heard Glosoli, the end nearly sent me running for cover.

that's kind of how i felt about it, too, but everyone kept telling me i was wrong and so i had no choice but to believe them. track one is pretty great, though.

i also got suckered into buying the "angels of the universe" cd with hilmar orn hilmarsson and it was ass.

there are definitely some great tracks on ( ) (tracks 1, 3, 4, and 6 for me), but as a whole it feels sort of scattered and unfocussed, and they butchered a few tracks in the studio that they had perfected live.

my favorite thing about takk is that it feels really cohesive and certain...everything just feels right. though i can't help but think that the end of Andvari (3rd song from the end) would have been the perfect closer.

Yeah, whenever all you can come up with to sing over the course of the album is variation of "Yoooouuuuuu xyyyyloooooo," then it's time for a change. I can't wait to hear this one.
