311 Appreciation Thread

Set the reggae to "medium".

For an entire summer I tried to convince myself that I like 311 and I wasn't able to do it. They are just really really really really really really bad.

i confess having a weakness for that one song, "Down"..............

I hope something horrible happens to them for bastardizing one of my favorite Cure songs.

whether or not you like their music (which is really hit and miss) they are each individually incredible musicians, especially chad sexton (the drummer)
unfortunately they waste their talent putting out album after album of exactly the same thing over and over again
its time to break up and try something new

Their first album (Music) was pretty good, their second (Grassroots) was semi-decent, everything after that was pure shit.

If I were able to flag this post I would, and I think Olivia would totally support me on this on the basis that 311 screwed up one of her favorite songs ever.

Y'all are nuts. I adore 311. To me they are the only band who is able to truly combine all of my favorite styles of music and have it sound unique and imaginative. I ♥ them.

They aren't just the blue album. Most of their best stuff is the stuff you haven't seen on Mtv.

I can't wait to see them at Red Rocks. Again.
