I was thinking about doing a record in mono... I want to remove that spacial quality of stereo as odd as this sounds, and I want to capture a sort of ancient pre-garage-garage sound to it... like early stones lps.

Is this insane or has anyone else done this on purpose?

I like the idea. I have the Phil Spector "Back To Mono" box. What a great sound.

Well, LOTS of people have done it. I have recorded in mono and know people who have. Give it a try.

I've seen Mono. I've never had mono. I've never recorded in mono, but it sounds like a cool idea. smile
